Proud. Joyous. Familial. 🧡

A friend asked me what three words I would use to describe yesterday, and those were the ones that came to mind.

A decade ago, I made the choice to step into my truth and live my life authentically. Looking back at that 26-year-old version of myself, I could have never imagined where this journey would have taken me. Moving to Austin, working at Out Youth, dating, sitting on a few LGBTQIA+ boards, and so much more.

To celebrate 10 years of being out, I had the absolute honor of being invited to walk with HBO/Warner Bros during NYC Pride (huge shoutout to Yoomi!).

I didn’t realize how much I needed it until I was out there. That experience quite literally healed so many pieces of me. Standing in that energy, surrounded by community, and feeling that deep sense of chosen family—it was everything.

Here’s to a decade of living out loud, to the healing power of community, and to always choosing joy. Happy Pride, everyone! 🏳️‍🌈

Highly recommend kicking off Pride Month with HBO Max, New Fest, and a crowd who is obsessed with Heated Rivalry!

There were so many cute activities like temporary tattoos, customizing jerseys with patches, a rose and lily flower stand, themed drinks, an ice skating rink, and the more activities you did the money more was raised for Rainbow Railroad. We ended up raising $25K!!

Such a fun way to kick off Pride! Scott and Kip forever!! 🏒

Shoutout to Yoomi for always letting me be their professional plus one.

Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈✨

Coming out as queer (dating all along the gender spectrum) and living my truth has been one of the greatest gifts of my life. I came out at twenty-six knowing that I had the capacity to love anyone regardless of gender. But even before that, I was doing the work as an ally (educating myself, protesting, organizing, and donating) and was lucky enough to have queer friends to walk along side me during my self-discovery.

The joy, love, and community I’ve found since coming out are things I will never take for granted. As we celebrate, I’m holding space to honor the ancestors who fought for our rights, continuing the fight for protections for our LGBTQIA+ siblings, and cheering on the next generation living bravely and unapologetically.

This past weekend, a group of us went to the NY Liberty Pride night and it was the perfect way to kick off a month of celebration and community.
