My page is 1 year old today! 🍰🥹 I created this account last summer because I felt a nudge—to share stories of my experiences such that others might seek them out, to put my photography into the universe (and spare the people who follow my personal account the endless tree photos), but most of all, I felt a nudge to find people who enjoy the outdoors and talk about it as obsessively as I do 🌲🏔️

I didn’t come here to go viral or grow a huge following. I came here to share, and to learn.

And I ended up doing all of those things 🥹 I found an exciting outlet to nerd out about trails and trees. I found other like-minded nature photographers. And I found the BEST community of hiking-obsessed IG friends 🥾

But what I didn’t expect?

How deep these connections would go, and how important the people I’ve met through this page would become to me ✨

Since founding this page in August 2025, I have:

💚 hiked in Shenandoah with friends I met here (hey @tonyamstevens!)

💚 joined a weekly tradition of fellow nerds posting about tall trees (thank you @i.am.bekka!!)

💚 started my own weekly tree ID quiz (love you all for accepting this like a no brainer - like @leanneexplores and @susiehikes who guess every week)

💚 learned what gives you all your spark, from crafts (@postcardsbygalina!) to crazy imaginative city comparisons (@hewandersusa) to the Oregon ducks (@jonathanadams)

And so much more. It has been a sincere joy and privilege to get to know you all this year and forge real friendships.

So please join me in raising a slightly smooshed PB and J to YOU and how this community has inspired me endlessly this past year 🥪🥂 I can’t wait to see where we go from here 🤩

So grateful for @livin.my.life.elevated, who inspired me to post this reel. About 7 months ago our TTT group thought it would be cool to try to meet up in real life! And the group chat turned into an actual place, time & camping! Not gonna lie, as an introvert, I was struggling even on the way there 🫠. Not because I didn’t think I would enjoy these amazing friends I had been talking to for months, but because I felt they might not enjoy MY company, and I might hold them back on the hike. In the end, I decided to just GO for it , because after all, we all love nature, and trees, so I knew it would be okay. And not only was it okay, it was BEYOND beautiful, and they were wonderful!!! We had so much in common, even though we are all different! We were laughing, as we each stopped to take pictures of all the little flowers, and every little thing. It was like we had known each other forever. And even though the actual trip had its challenges for each of us, we all made it, and bonded over our mutual resiliency 😅🫶🏼🙌🏼🫂🌲

Can hardly wait for the next adventure. 🌲⛺️🚙🌧️✨
