We fear our light more than our darkness.

Yet, we can learn to lean into the intrinsic goodness of our humanity.

What is the true reason why we are here?

Maybe it is as simple as remembering the inherent joy of being the creative beings we truly are.

What happens when we recognize we are not always in control, and surrender to a force beyond ourselves?

This is one of the themes I explored in a most animating conversation with @you_arethefrequency on my podcast ‘The Thread’ recently.

This week in The Sanctuary, the energy felt particularly special.

Together with @shantifairy and @alsunikonorova83, something magical unfolded at the intersection of words, sound, vision and energy.

The women in the circle brought tremendous trust and openness to the practice of Being With What Is. It is not always an easy process, especially when what is begins to feel uncomfortable. But when we allow ourselves to stay present, rather than turn away, something can begin to shift.

Each woman left with new insights about herself, and a different resonance and light to carry with her and share in the world.

It is always an honour to hold space in this way, and I’m deeply grateful for every opportunity to practise being present with what is.

This evening was particularly moving for me personally. Travel complications meant I needed to ask for help and that help came flooding in.

I am learning, too. About receiving. About allowing myself to be supported. And about the gifts that become available when we name what we need.

Perhaps that was part of the circle’s magic for me. Being with what is also means recognising that we don’t always have to do everything alone.

Join us for our next Sanctuary Circle on 4 October 🤍

The more The Sanctuary grows, the more I realise that community is at the heart of what I’m trying to create.

I learned a lot about this through the time I spent in a 12 Step programme. So much of the work was deeply personal, but we didn’t do it alone. We sat together. We listened to each other without trying to fix or advise. We heard parts of our own stories in someone else’s. And we kept coming back.

That experience changed something in me.

There is something powerful about having spaces we can return to. Where we begin to recognise each other. Where we can share what is happening in our lives, listen to someone else’s experience, or simply be there without needing to say very much at all.

So much of our inner work is personal. But I don’t think all of it needs to happen alone.

Sometimes being witnessed matters. Sometimes hearing another woman say something we have felt ourselves matters. Sometimes it’s simply knowing there are other people alongside us.

For me, that is community.

Not needing to be the same. Not needing to have the same experience. Just continuing to show up for ourselves and for one another 🤍

Lately I’ve been reflecting on how much energy many of us spend trying to be who we think we should be.

To be good enough.

And I’ve been wondering what happens when we stop striving to be enough and start listening to what we actually want.

What becomes possible when we feel safe enough to simply be ourselves?

On 15 August we’re gathering for an evening of movement, breathwork, sound, visualisation, connection, and nourishment as we explore authenticity, self-expression, and the freedom to be fully who we are.

I am beyond excited to create this space together with @alicia.inspired, @shantifairy, @reece_backhouse, @doenavandenhoven, and @letsplaywithfood 💜

I’d love to welcome you there. Link to tickets in BIO.

Next week The Sanctuary will host its’ first Practitioner’s Circle and I couldn’t be more excited about it ✨

An evening to connect with yourself and other practitioners, and to receive after holding so much for others.

No two circles plan to be the same but they will follow the flow of opening, grounding, activating, inter-visioning, sharing, closing.

Will you join this special evening at The Sanctuary?
