Every room that told you to tone it down was wrong.

You dim yourself to fit the meeting, smaller energy, safer ideas, playing the part professional is supposed to look like.

The work that excites you deserves more than that and so do the people receiving it.

We’re not here to fit in. We’re here to widen the gap between comfort and the unknown

That’s where possibility lives. taken in Amsterdam, Netherlands by @you_arethefrequency

When we move through Life with presence, attending to all experiences it brings, we develop a deep trust in our being.

Are you editing yourself before anyone’s even had a chance to respond?

What you won’t wear is a map of what you won’t say.

Somewhere along the way you inherited a whole set of stories about what you should and shouldn’t be — and you got dressed inside them without ever agreeing to the terms.

When what you wear actually matches who you are, you don’t just look different. You move through the world differently taken in Amsterdam, Netherlands by @you_arethefrequency

What if the PowerPoint presentation was the fiction?

Growth is not a story I can tell you. I need to show you, so you can feel it.

No slides, no bullet points.

This is what it looks like when I stop performing the work and start becoming it. taken in Amsterdam, Netherlands by @you_arethefrequency

What happens when we recognize we are not always in control, and surrender to a force beyond ourselves?

This is one of the themes I explored in a most animating conversation with @you_arethefrequency on my podcast ‘The Thread’ recently.

When did you decide you weren’t a creative person?

Most of us drew that line early. A classroom, a comparison, a moment when creative got redefined as talent and we quietly filed ourselves under the other list.

But look closer at an ordinary day.

The way you talk your way around a problem at work that had no clear instructions. The way you stand in front of a half-empty fridge and somehow make dinner. The way you improvise your way through a conversation that took a turn nobody planned for.

That’s not adjacent to creativity. That is creativity, happening constantly, mostly unnoticed, because we were only taught to recognize it in a costume, as a painting, stories on a stage or on a gallery wall.

And even once you see it, it still doesn’t look the same on anyone.

My process is chaos. Ingredients everywhere, everything in front of me, movement, tasting as I go, a few wrong turns before it becomes anything at all, and somehow, it ends in something I actually want to put on the table.

Someone else’s process is the opposite. Ordered, still, planned three steps ahead, nothing touched until the sequence is right in their head.

Neither one is the real creativity that the other is faking.

The chaos was never a flaw in my process. The order was never a limit on theirs. They’re just what creation looks like moving through two different people.

The more we notice ourselves actually creating, mid-mess, mid-plan, mid-deadline, mid-dinner the less shame there is in doing it in whatever shape it actually takes. taken in Amsterdam, Netherlands by @you_arethefrequency

Whats left when you stop doubting yourself?

Somewhere along the way, doing mode became the familiar place, proof of our worth. Move faster, produce more, earn your place in the room before you’re allowed to rest in it.

So we tried to fix that with being. Stillness. Presence. Slow mornings and soft language.

But being was never the destination either. It’s just doing’s quieter cousin, still a role, still something you have to remember to perform.

Underneath both is something older. Something that was never trying to earn anything.

The animal that rests without guilt, wants without shrinking. Moves when it’s time to move and stops when it’s time to stop,

No doctrine, No waiting for permission. taken in Amsterdam, Netherlands by @you_arethefrequency

Introducing the team behind The Sanctuary event on May 23:
Camille 💖

Movement has taken me to my darkest depths and my brightest light, and guided me back to my centre.

It has taught me how to move through life with more presence, more grace. It reminds me of my humanness. Of what becomes possible when we stop getting in our own way and allow life to flow.

Movement is my mirror. It shows me where I need to grow and where I already have.

It has been my medicine through the hardest chapters of my life. A space where I could release what I didn’t even know I was carrying, and return to my essence.

Through movement, I’ve been becoming more “me”. And that’s why I share this work. What we discover in the microcosm of a dance floor, we can carry into our lives.

This is my passion. To bring more movement, more truth, and more life into this world.
