Inside Aardman: Wallace & Gromit and Friends

Aside from this exhibition, the Young V&A revamp was personally not worth the hype.

The building and space is stunning, but the design of the museum itself lacks EVERYTHING- visually unimpressive and unimaginative.

London 2026 recap 1/3
"Londen 2026 Northgo College, let's gooooo"

We hadden een fijne week in Londen.
25 14/15jarigen en wij.
In 5 dagen en 4 nachten ontdekten en leerden we;

If you’re strapped for cash this half term, here are 7 freebies to keep the kids entertained!
because the cost of feeding them all week is enough 😂

There’s Diwali on the Square, free creepy crawly crafts in Greenwich, spooky storytelling in Colchester, a Halloween trail at Thorndon Country Park and plenty more across London and Essex.

I’ve included the dates, locations and useful bits on each slide, but a few quick bits to know:

🎟️ Check whether your chosen activity needs booking
🚗 Thorndon’s trail is free, but the parking isn’t
👥 Diwali on the Square will probably be the busiest option, but one I’m most looking forward to!
🌧️ Docklands and the National Maritime Museum are my rainy day picks
🔍 Recheck the official listing before setting off

Save this for the inevitable.. Mum, what are we doing today! 😂🫠

Looking for something to do this weekend? 🎨🧸 Young V&A @young.vam in Bethnal Green is a lovely option for both adults and kids, with free entry, interactive exhibitions, playful displays and plenty of fun things to discover around every corner! 🫶🏻 The entrance hall is easily my favourite part — so bright, airy and beautiful! 💛✨

🔉Year 4 and 5 had a fantastic time at the Young V&A, taking part in a workshop exploring how Foley artists create the sound effects for Wallace & Gromit!

The children had a brilliant time experimenting with different objects and materials to create their own sound effects to accompany a clip from the much-loved animation. There was lots of creativity, teamwork and laughter along the way!

They also had the opportunity to explore the rest of the museum, discovering more about the world of art, design and play.

I took so long to go and visit this exhibition. It was well worth the trip!
I organised a home ed group visit and it was so nice, everyone really enjoyed the exhibition, plus the museum itself of course.

It is definitely a must visit for Aardman fans! 👌🏽 or even just if interested in stop motion and how they create all those characters.
A great creative, learning day out.

Superb visit to the excellent#insideaardmanexhibition at @young.vam this afternoon 😍
SO much to see and learn (whatever your age!) about how they bring their wonderful animations to the screen. 🤩
It finishes on 15 November so get down their pronto!
Need to mention the wonderful staff there - so very kind, helpful and proactive. A big shoutout in particular to the tall redhead on the main ticket desk and the Liverpudlian (?) lass on the exhibition desk upstairs - both of these ladies made our visit! ❤️

The Angela Law Dollhouse - from the Galleries https://www.dandylionminiatures.com/the-angela-law-dollhouse

An older image showing various makes. Furniture rotation within the house gives me the opportunity to share my work, much of which gets added to my Galleries/New and Store on the Dandylion Miniatures website at a later date ❤️
