A glimpse into how Unspoken Emotions moved from an early creative file to a fully realized campaign. Here’s a snapshot from the initial file I presented to the client for the 16 Days of Activism campaign. I’m proud that the final outcome closely reflected the original vision, and I’m especially happy because this was my first campaign as a director. It’s also a token of appreciation to the team who worked with me on bringing this vision to life.

missing home a bit more today.

I went back this time around with the intention of being present in every moment as much as I could and because of that I was there for all the magical moments big and small. Thank you to my family for the immense generosity and love that they showed me and for reminding me how love looks like. From my grandma cooking me and my brother feasts for “lunch” even though her back hurts. My cousin hosting us and taking us to all of the places. my cousin’s fiance who drove 45 minutes the opposite direction of his home to make sure we arrived home safely. And to my dad’s best friend giving us a ride just to spend time with us. To my family in Egypt, I love you all so much and I cannot wait to see you again soon❤️

Proudly wrapping up 2024 with the screening of Unspoken Emotions in Cairo on December 5th, as part of the ‘16 Days of Activism’ campaign under the patronage of the British Embassy. Grateful to Hanine for moderating the discussion, to Dr. Nabil El Kot for his insightful psychological perspective, and to Mai for sharing her heartfelt story. This experience truly highlighted the power of storytelling and collaboration.

Special thanks to the incredible crew who turned what was on paper into pure creativity with unmatched dedication. A heartfelt thank you to Mahmoud Lotfi, our talented DOP; Emad Maher, the brilliant editor; Nada, the incredible decor engineer; and the entire team, including the phenomenal actors Khaled Gado, lujainn salah, Salma bader, and everyone else who brought this project to life. You are all truly remarkable!

‏A special thank you to Yasmin for making the day so wonderful and for her unwavering support from the very beginning of this project.
