Living with the light series// Compassion

This is one of my favourite photography projects I've worked on, it was under the supervision and guidance of the great @haymanics . I chose this project to be about motherhood and I wanted to show it through using photography techniques like, longexposure and light painting.

The idea of this project really came to me on a whim, I was lying on bed looking at my ceiling lights through my bed sheets, and I got inspired by how the light was shaped passing through the bed sheets. I chose to include this part here because I want people to know that great ideas can be born from the very simple details and interactions in our daily lives.

To make this project, I photographed moments from my mothers routine throughout the day and her interactions with the family. The light in these photographs symbolizes the warmth of a mother, where's everything that she does is made with love, even the very simple things.
