This is one of the prettiest afternoon teas I’ve been to. The beautiful wild flowers and butterflies decoration really make you feel that you’re in some enchanted English garden. 🌸🦋

You all know I love a sweet treat but the savoury items here are what would make me return.

The roast signature pork scotch egg and the sausage roll were my favourite items. Having some hot food as part of afternoon tea just hits different and is a nice break from just sandwiches. 😋

The sweet treats are so pretty and very filling! The coconut and passionfruit cheesecake was incredible but I wasn’t too keen on the rose mousse dessert, mainly due to the mint flavour jam.

As lovely as the afternoon tea is here, it would have been even more enjoyable if we were able to change our teas throughout. The tea isn’t refillable and they only top up what you have with hot water.

With most afternoon teas, you get given a fresh plate after your savoury items. Call me fussy but that little touch makes such a difference!

Overall, I really enjoyed this tea and it was the perfect way to catch up with @alli.n.eats and @yoursbrunchly

🥂 🍰 Botanical Afternoon Tea in London 🍰 🥂

This afternoon tea is absolutely stunning. The pastries being the standout but the savoury items were definitely more enjoyable.

There is a good selection of savoury items to be enjoyed. The creamy chicken, spring vegetable & potato baked puff was so delicious. I also quite enjoyed the smoked salmon with cream. The other savoury items were crab tartar and summer vegetables with goats cheese quinoa tart.

The scones for me were just not it! They were somewhat hard and doughy at the same time 🫤

The creativity and detail of the pastries is just incredible but unfortunately they were quite disappointing. We all found the pastries too sweet or flavours just not working together, which is such a shame.

The staff were wonderful though and quite accommodating. Due to our experience they did offer to take a percentage off the bill, which was greatly appreciated.

The window seating is lovely and the entire restaurant had a great relaxing feel about it.

This afternoon didn’t wow me but the company was great as always 🥂

I think that this afternoon tea has potential to be really good. Perhaps the day we visited was an off day, as I’ve seen other reviews that are quite positive.

Must try Caribbean fusion brunch spot in South East London 🤤

The perfect weekend spot to enjoy a yummy brunch 😋

I first visited @breakthefastlondon soon after it had opened. Back then it was nice but needed a few tweaks to make it better. However on this visit everything had improved significantly 🙌🏾🙌🏾

This is definitely a MUST visit brunch spot! Luckily for me it’s not too far to get to but if you live further away, I’d say it’s worth the travel 😋

Myself and @yoursbrunchly enjoyed some savoury and sweet brekkie options.

I got the cheese omelette, with hash browns, house baked beans ( seasoned), sourdough toast, grilled tomatoes and fried plantain. I also added ham to my omelette 😋 This was so flavourful and delicious!

I also tried the Biscoff French toast which I shared in my last post. If you love Biscoff then you must order this! Absolutely amazing 😋

The food and service was great! My food was hot in heat so that always makes me happy.

🍓 Do you have French toast as your main for brekkie or the sweet treat after the savoury? 🍓

This French toast from @breakthefastlondon was incredible! It’s pretty on the eye and tasted soooo good 😋

I went for the brioche French toast option covered in biscoff topped with whipped cream and summer fruits 😋

Myself and @yoursbrunchly had a wonderful breakfast catch up over some yummy food.
