💙 Thank you to everyone who came together for our 9/11 Day of Service!

Due to the weather, we had to move part of our event online, but that didn’t stop us from coming together in service and reflection. We’re especially grateful to Lee-Daniel and Tiana for leading a wonderful workshop and discussion about the future of youth service in America, and how service can strengthen communities, deepen civic participation, and inspire the next generation of leaders.

Despite the challenging weather, our community still came together to put our donations into action. 🎒✏️ Participants assembled school supply kits and contributed items to support underserved students across Boston.

We’re grateful to everyone who donated supplies, volunteered their time, participated virtually and in person, and helped make this Day of Service possible. The school supplies collected through this effort were donated to Boston Asian Youth Essential Service to support local youth and families.

Thank you for showing that even when plans change, our commitment to service remains strong. ❤️

We remembered with our hearts—and honored with our hands.

On Saturday, September 12, our young people, families, volunteers and community partners gathered at The Light House for our 9/11 Community Day of Service.

Before the work began, we paused to remember the lives lost on September 11 and the heroes who responded with courage, sacrifice and service. Then we put remembrance into action—cleaning and beautifying the area surrounding The Light House and moving into the nearby neighborhood to serve our community.

Our young people did more than volunteer. They led. They worked together. They showed that service is not simply something we talk about—it is something we live.

Thank you to every youth, parent, Brother, volunteer and partner who showed up and helped make an impact.

We don’t forget. We take action.
We Lead the Way—but God lights the path.

On September 12th, Cureco took part in the 9/11 day of service! We assembled over 100 kits and got to speak with members of Our Daily Bread in Denton, TX. We also had the opportunity to hear from City Council Member Suzi Rumhor. It was a wonderful time, and we are so grateful to @youthservice sponsored by @americorps for the $1,000 We Serve to Remember 9/11 Grant.

This week, we delivered 16 sensory toolkits to Mrs. Delahunt, principal of Cottage Grove Elementary School, made possible by a grant from @youthservice , @911day , and @americorps . Kits will go out to Title 1 classrooms across her district.

Mrs. Delahunt was Simone’s kindergarten teacher. She remembered Simone always doing art, and told her how much she loved her illustrations in our book, My Sensory Toolbox. 🎨 We love a full circle moment.

She walked Simone through Cottage Grove’s sensory room, ball pit, and climbing wall. Sending these kits to a fellow advocate felt right. 💛
