Our hope is to inspire small acts of kindness and service in everyday life. This challenge is what you make it! Every participant will be given 15 service hours, and the opportunity to win a $50 gift card to a place of their choice! (based off a short essay at the end of challenge)

🕊️ Reflecting on 9/11 and the Power of Preparedness 🕊️
Last year, I was honored to receive a 9/11 grant that allowed me to host an assembly dedicated to educating others about the events of September 11th and the importance of disaster preparedness. It was a powerful experience—bringing people together not only to remember, but to learn how we can be ready if disaster ever strikes again.
One of the most meaningful parts of the event was assembling emergency backpacks. It was a hands-on way to equip our community with tools for resilience and safety in the future.
Although I wasn’t selected for a grant this year, the mission continues. Let’s all take time to prepare—whether it’s building a kit, making a plan, or simply having a conversation about readiness. And let’s keep advocating for programs like AmeriCorps, which empower youth leaders to make a real impact in their communities.
Preparedness is a shared responsibility. Let’s keep showing up for each other. 🇺🇸
