Natsumatsuri (summer festival) in KC was incredible, and I was so honored to be part of it again this year✨️

I wrote the Kanji of "夏" (Natsu, summer) ⛱️ 🌞 🎐

Huge thanks to @yukarikc for hosting this wonderful event, and to @taikoatku for playing Taiko during my performance!

Also, thank you to these amazing photographers for taking wonderful pictures!

夏祭

蒸し暑い!!　でも楽しかった！

Thank you @yukarikc for hosting such a great festival that allows a place for Japanese to share their culture, and some local Japanese to revisit theirs.

And thanks to @ksutatsumakiyosakoi for the invite!

It was crazy hot, and people still stuck around! That shows you how wonderful it was.

It was great hanging out with everyone and meeting new people.

And a special thank you to all the performers and vendors for sticking out the heat to make a wonderful experience for everyone visiting, you are all rockstars. 皆さん　ありがとうございます!!!　🙇

🎐Natsu Matsuri was a great success!

Thank you so much for stopping by the “ZUMBA REALTOR MAKI-sensei” booth on such a hot summer day last Sunday! ☀️

My amazing volunteers and I were way too busy to play cards, chat with visitors, and put on Kanji tattoo stickers! 🥵 I think I chatted with more than 100 people in one day! What a blessing! 🥰

It was especially wonderful seeing close friends, former and current Nihongo students, and even meeting future students! 💕

Yes, the Early Bird Special is over, but it’s not too late to sign up for Japanese class! 🇯🇵📚
Classes start after Labor Day!

Weekend Recap in KC

I started my weekend going to my friends’ baby shower followed by an overnight hangout together!

We then had brunch the next morning at @roxannescafemo in Parkville, MO!

My next stop was the Camera Club for @coffeeandcameraskc at @themuseumofkansascity surrounded by great history, artwork, and some good vibes that included dancing!

Finally I visited Natsu Matsuri in Merriam, KS and braved the heat! This was truly an authentic representation of this traditional Japanese Summer festival of celebration!
