What a powerful day at Kennedy-King College! A special thank you to Dr. Katonja Webb Walker for her hospitality, leadership, and commitment to empowering the next generation! From touring the Midwifery and Nursing Centers to visiting the Statesman Market and Sikia, the student-run restaurant, we witnessed firsthand how Kennedy-King College is creating opportunities and serving its community. Our visit concluded with an engaging Youth Voting Summit featuring our President, Yusef D. Jackson, Chicago Votes CEO Stevie Valles, and Rainbow PUSH National Youth Director Cameron Barnes. But the real highlight? THE STUDENTS! Their thoughtful questions, enthusiasm, and commitment to making their voices heard reminded us why this work is so important. Young people aren’t just the leaders of tomorrow. They have the power to shape TODAY! We look forward to continuing our partnership with Kennedy-King College as we empower the next generation through education, civic engagement, and action! #RainbowPUSH #KennedyKingCollege #YouthVote #GetOutTheVote

The footsteps change. The fight for justice continues. Generations before us faced violence, imprisonment, and death demanding the right to vote. Today, students in North Carolina are carrying that courage forward, showing that the next generation understands what is at stake. Our President, Yusef D. Jackson, salutes their determination. Honoring those who came before us means protecting what they fought for and exercising the rights they sacrificed to secure. Keep hope alive. Use your voice. Cast your vote. #RainbowPUSH #KeepHopeAlive #VotingRights

15 days to go, PUSH family! As we get ready to vote, let’s make sure we know what to do if something goes wrong. Save this post and share it with someone you love. RECOGNIZE PROBLEMS AND REPORT THEM CALMLY Possible problems include threatening texts, aggressive filming, armed intimidation, blocked access, long lines, missing registrations, false polling information, or unexpected closures. Do not confront or attempt to remove disruptors. Alert the lead poll worker and contact Election Protection. If there is immediate danger, move to safety and call 911. DOCUMENT SAFELY Note the time, location, what happened, and witnesses. Preserve threatening messages. Follow local photography rules and protect ballot secrecy and voter privacy. Report observations, not assumptions. If your name is missing, ask a poll worker about your options, including a provisional ballot, and any follow-up requirements. If you are in line when polls close, stay in line and follow emergency safety directions. For voting questions or problems, call or text Election Protection at 866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683). Let’s look out for one another and show up informed, prepared, and ready to make our voices heard! #RainbowPUSH #GetOutTheVote #ElectionProtection

Another powerful Saturday Morning Forum at the Rainbow PUSH Coalition! 🗳️ As we continue our push toward the midterm elections, this weekend’s conversation reminded us that voter education is just as important as voter participation! A special thank you to Judge Krista D. Butler, Judge Nichole Patton, and Judge Steven G. Watkins for joining us and helping our community better understand the role of our judges, the responsibilities they carry, and why these positions matter so much in our everyday lives. We also extend our gratitude to Stevie Valles, CEO of @chicagovotes, for providing essential voter education and reminding us of the power we hold when we make our voices heard at the ballot box. Thank you to Cameron Barnes, Rainbow PUSH National Youth Director, for sharing his vision for the upcoming GOTV tour, highlighting critical states where voter engagement and turnout will be essential this election season. And certainly, a heartfelt thank you to Rev. Janette Wilson for providing the wisdom, perspective, and direction we need as we navigate the challenges facing our country and our world. Her words reinforced why exercising our right to vote is so important, especially during this consequential midterm election season. The message was clear: Every election matters. Every position matters. Every vote matters. We’re not just encouraging people to get to the polls. We’re working to ensure they understand the power of their vote and the impact it can have on generations to come. Thank you to everyone who joined us! The work continues, and November 3rd is right around the corner! #RainbowPUSH #SaturdayMorningForum #GOTV #VoterEducation #YourVoteMatters
