An early morning, a full heart, and a legacy that lives on!

Yesterday, I started my day bright and early visiting several news programs to celebrate what would have been my father, Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr.’s 85th birthday.

I miss my father every day, but I couldn’t be prouder to carry forward his extraordinary legacy and the work he dedicated his life to building.

What better way to celebrate Dad than by launching #MyRevJacksonMoment, inviting YOU to share your own memories and experiences with him!

Take a look behind the scenes of yesterday’s media rounds as we celebrated 85 years of life, love, and lasting impact.

The legacy continues, and YOU are part of the story!

When you watch the life of Reverend Jesse Jackson, you are watching the history of the fight for freedom and equality around the world.

In honor of Reverend Jackson’s birthday, we are rebroadcasting a special N’DIGO Studio episode, “Living Legacy of Rev. Jesse Jackson,” filmed last year.

I sat down with his son, Yusef Jackson, and producer Bill Keys to discuss the documentary chronicling his extraordinary life, from marching alongside Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to becoming an international voice for civil rights and justice.

Join us as we celebrate the life and legacy of one of Chicago’s most influential leaders.

Watch N’DIGO Studio Saturday at 1:00 AM on NBC Chicago, immediately following Saturday Night Live. Set your DVR!

Happy birthday, Dad. The gift of your presence has lasted longer than any present I’ve ever received. I’m grateful for the time we shared as father and son, and for your friendship and guidance.

I wish I could hear your voice today, but I feel your presence in the lessons you left me: serve others, walk with humility, and strive for excellence.

I love you, sir. taken in Rainbow PUSH Headquarters by @yusefdjacksonrpc
