HAPPY BIRTHDAY YVONNE MONET!
I’ve just spent the past 48 hours celebrating her 60th birthday in the MEOWtains (IYKYK). I don’t have many photos from the celebration because she requested we refrain. This way we could dance like maniacs… and that we did! There is nothing quite like a Yvonne Monet party (especially when it’s put on by the magnificent Kathleen).
We got to know so many fabulous people who know and love Yvonne. She’s a one of a kind unicorn pal. We became close when we were radio DJs on rival radio stations back in the 90’s. I was her biggest fan so I called her and said “let’s be friends”. We even got to work together on the radio. Since then we have laughed, bitched, cried and talked through our ever changing career shifts. We have a rarified air friendship that I treasure deeply. Here’s a few of our greatest hits through the years. CHEERS TO THE DIRECTOR OF FUN!! Love you Yvonne! 🐈🐈‍⬛🦄🦄

When 90 year old Grandma Honey wants to DJ, you let her! It was so much fun providing the music, sound system and photo booth at the circus themed celebration for this inspirational woman. Thanks to @alchemyeventstudio for inviting us to be part of a fantastic afternoon celebrating Grandma Honey! And yes, this is the song she played for the crowd when she took over the DJ booth. @moby #handlingthat

Alison & Barry PART 2 ✨

As guests stepped through the draped opening, they entered the next chapter of Alison and Barry’s wedding story.

The Beverly Hills Hotel inspiration continued on the other side of the tent, where shades of blush and merlot filled the reception with warmth, romance, and just the right amount of glamour. Blush linens dressed the tables while lush florals in rich merlot and soft pink created a palette that felt timeless and effortlessly elegant.

Overhead, green striped valances framed the tent while custom drum chandeliers floated beneath a canopy of twinkle lights. What made these details even more special was that they weren’t simply design elements—they were created by Barry himself. As the owner of an awning company, Barry fabricated the striped valances and chandelier drums, adding a personal touch that transformed the tent into something truly meaningful. Seeing his craftsmanship woven throughout the celebration made the space feel even more personal and reflective of the couple.

But those twinkle lights were more than beautiful décor.

For Alison, they were a childhood dream inspired by Father of the Bride, a moment she had imagined for years. Watching that dream come to life beneath thousands of sparkling lights was one of those rare moments where reality becomes even better than the vision.

And because every great wedding deserves a little whimsy, inflatable swans floated in the pool as a playful nod to another iconic Father of the Bride moment. It was the perfect blend of sophistication, nostalgia, and fun.

From the ceremony to the reception, every detail reflected Alison and Barry’s story. His craftsmanship. Her vision. Their love. A wedding filled with meaningful details that proved the best celebrations aren’t just beautiful, they’re personal.

The most beautiful day. We’re still on cloud nine. Thank you for capturing every special moment, @shankmatt — if this is just the trailer, then we’re going to need a sedative to get through watching the full length video 😭

A frequently asked question that I receive is “do you play weddings?” and the answer to that is YES!

It was such a delight being a part of @alison.greenberg’s and @barryloudis’ special day 💚🩷

It was also amazing working with some of the best vendors in all of Atlanta!

Congratulations Alison and Barry!!

I thought I would try and unlock a new skill with the Double Dutch Pros this week. My watch was worried for me and wanted to alert someone that I may be in danger.🤣 I went back to my DJ booth and minded my own business. #doubledutch #handlingthat #yvonnemonet #jumprope
