A few stills from the making of “Rooftop” courtesy of @vpham21 The first few are of the crew and cast in action with the second shot featuring our director, Chan Jang (@bcjang925) blocking a scene with the incredible Won Jong Lee. Watching this man work is truly an inspiration. One of the best projects I’ve had the privilege of shooting and can’t wait for its released in the coming month. Being surrounded by such talented and driven people is incredibly rewarding experience. Thanks to @panavisionofficial for their support to make this project a reality. @earboyfilm February 2023 - One of the films I’m most proud of. Written and directed by @yohahnko, the story follows the relationship between an single immigrant mother and her son. After reading the script, I really felt like it was something special and hit close to home. Early in my childhood, my mom was also a single mom trying to raise four kids, and there’s something about the moments of hardship and struggle that you don’t understand until you’re older that this film captures really beautifully. . . . Thanks Yohahn for writing this story and for bringing together so many wonderful and talented souls onto this intimate project. I met so many new friends and was surrounded by homies, it was a sure fire way to make it a great time. Even though you drive me crazy sometimes, you are like the Korean brother I never had. ❤️ . Moving through spring, I got to assistant stage manage on Conrad Susa’s transformations! Definitely my favorite deconstruction of fairy tales and generational trauma set at a 70’s wedding based on the poetry of Anne Sexton. One of the wildest shows I’ve worked on this far, and a wonderful ride. Stage Direction by Matthew Lata, Lighting Design by Barry Steele, Scenic Design by Peter Harrison, Costume Design by Christina Marullo, Stage Management by Yooyeon Kim

🌟So… The first pictures are what people think acting is like and the last few pictures are what it’s actually like 🤣 For real though, I’m so grateful to have been a part of this awesome production with all of these immensely talented and passionate filmmakers. It was such an honor to work with all of you! Be on the lookout for ‘Rooftop’ with the great Won-Jong Lee (Money Heist: Korea) directed by @bcjang925 Produced by @dir_yyk and @bixby.kira DP: @_patrickkrum_ BTS📸: @vpham21 and @lahongsnap #actor #actorslife #film #behindthescenes Young 28 year old African American man in a blue polo shirt holding a wire telephone with a serious look on his face standing in front of a cinematic camera

Special thanks to our talented director @bcjang925 for listening and answering carefully to my million questions about a character and blocking. When he wanted to cast me as a mom before the shoot, I honestly was not sure if I could pull off that aged character with such agony and worry about her son and LA riot. But he believed in me that I could do it and so I tried my best. I feel very special and honored to be a part of this film-shoot. This young director wanted to talk about LA koreatown business people who dared to protect their businesses and family by standing on a rooftop with guns against looters. So determined and amazing. Also another special thanks to @lahongsnap photographer for capturing the moment of our work!
