Last Saturday evening, @megfritzmusic , @al_makesmusic and @zaboukies combined their incredible multi-instrumental musical talents in a “singer-songwriter swap” session @the_riff_at_bsiderecords . The songs were deeply emotional, personal, and as the photographer, I had to balance stopping to just embrace the music while remembering I had a job to do. A truly beautiful set of music. 🎸🥁🎹 Highly recommend following each of these young artists as they have bright futures ahead of them. 📀 Swing by @bside_records_vintage if you’re here in @cityofmilwaukie and be sure to follow their Instagram for upcoming performances and other events! Support local businesses in Milwaukie by following @thebusinessofmilwaukie as well. 👋 - Please consider following me for future local events and if you’re interested in collaborating on creating photographs for your music, events, and more, please send me a message! - If you appreciate my photography, please consider “Buying Me A Coffee” (link in bio) / buymeacoffee.com/Snapwitty. - Please feel free to repost with @snapwitty tagged. - Everything is very much appreciated! 🙏 #localmusic #singersongwriter #portland #milwaukie vintage

We are excited to have another long-time open rounder joining us for the Dec 3rd featured round: Reid! (@zaboukies) Reid is a Portland based lyricist and poet, who has recently added singer to his long standing songwriter biography. Drawn to the core of human experience, Reid’s storytelling reflects his own life journey — in pursuit of deeper meaning, but in no rush to get there. His music is his meditation, both a contemplation and commentary on love, loss, liminal spaces, the beautifully bizarre, and resiliency of spirit: Intimately personal, yet universal. Part of the @writersroundcommunity, Writers Round PDX is a Nashville-style songwriting, storytelling showcase hosted by @ronniecarrierofficial and @bengracemusic, with curated and open rounds. The event is all-ages and takes place every first Wednesday at @arbor_beer_lodge. 🎸 Open round starts at 7 PM – bring your guitars and stories and throw your name in the @pdxsongwriters hat for a chance to play!
