This Thursday(4/23)🌊

We already know what it looks like to lose our old-growth redwoods. Now, an underwater crisis is wiping out our kelp forests at a terrifying speed, a 96% loss in just a few short years.

But we aren’t just gathering to watch a movie about it. We’re getting together to talk actual solutions.

Join us for a free screening of Sequoias of the Sea, followed by a Q&A and a panel on what it takes to bring these underwater forests back.

The Panel:
• Natasha Benjamin: Filmmaker & Associate Director of Blue Frontier
• Kevin McKernan: Marine Director for the Yurok Tribe
• Laurie Richmond: Cal Poly Humboldt Professor of Environmental Science

Protecting our backyard takes all of us. Show up for your coast. (Plus, we’re doing a surfboard drawing).

📍 Where: Arcata Theatre Lounge
🗓️ When: Thursday, April 23
⏰ Time: 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
🎟️ Tickets: FREE entry
