6 months ago today we lost our soul dog, Zoey.

to being honest, there has been many days we thought would be impossible to live through without her. for 11 days shy of 11 years together, we were inseparable. and you don’t just move on from that..

Sunday has helped our hearts slowly soften the greatest loss of our lives. She’s brought us laughter and smiles on days we couldn’t see past deep sorrow, grief, and sadness. & in the same regard, Zoey prepared us for Sunday - in every way possible.

there isn’t a day that goes by that we aren’t talking about Zoey, comparing Sundays behavior and personality similarities to hers.

Zoey will be forever grieved, loved and deeply, deeply missed but hopefully she is resting easy knowing her pup angel, Miss Sunday, is protecting and taking care of her humans until we all can be reunited again🦴🐾🐶

2 months with Sunday🌞🤍

this little girl has brought us lots of joy and smiles, slowly healing our broken hearts from the loss of our Zoey earlier this year. not to say there haven’t been a loooot of breakdown moments from overwhelm and frustration lmao.. puppy life🤣

this month she’s let her personality shine; Sunday is so curious, smart as hell, cuddly when tired, and wired for nothing but fun and a good time!

she’s mastered sit, down, here/touch, and center! relaxation is a foreign concept to her so we’re working on this more than obedience.

this month alone she’s been swimming in Lake Tahoe, wadding through the Truckee River, people watching at Truckee Thursdays and downtown Truckee — all while hitting it off with friends at puppy school & friends dogs.

16 weeks is coming up quick and were so excited to keep watching Sunday grow🌱

6 weeks with my humans!! and 13 weeks on earth🌞

this week started week 1 of puppy school, where I learned the clicker helps me learn faster and retain much more! Mom and dad helped me perfect sit, down, and here. We’re still working on center, wait, leave it, and off. I’d also say I’ve done better with relaxation work. I can now be in the living room off leash for ~30 minutes🎉

my humans still haven’t understood I’m quite picky with where I do my business so I’m hoping they get it this week🙄

be sure to check out the last reel and stay tuned for week 2 recap tomorrow.

2 weeks at home today, & only 8 more weeks till I’m fully vaccinated!!

this week I went on my first long car ride, met my family in the Bay Area, learned to sleep in my pen, and mastered my potty time outside w very little accidents! I fully know my name, and so does everyone else😂 thanks mom!

1st week home with my parents! to celebrate, we went to Donner lake for my first time🐾🌲

so far, I’ve know my name, how to stay/come, and mostly to potty outside (there’s been few accidents okay!) but I really love my dads pillows, my bully stick and lamb toy. I also gained 1.5lbs this week despite having Giardia🪱 and an ear infection 😅

can’t wait to see what I get into this week as a 9 week old
