Throwback to last year’s Sienna Squad build! 🙌

In collaboration with @remarkableworks, @zacbuilds, @webuildadream and the students at @westviewcentss, we gave this patio at @slowhandpizza a much-needed makeover.

Whether you’re transforming the patio at a small business or renovating the deck in your own backyard, MicroPro Sienna Plus is the clear choice for pressure treated wood. Also, Fall is a great time to build that deck or fence you’ve been putting off all summer...

60,000 people! Crazy to type.

8 years ago, I was 10, a kid who loved woodworking and asked my parents for an Instagram account to share my maker journey.

I had no plan. I wanted to build, learn and share my process along the way.

Since then, the projects got bigger. The shop got better. The tools multiplied and the rest was history.

I’ve made mistakes and take the time to learn and challenge myself with new skills. I get to befriend incredible people, work with brands I once dreamed about when I was a kid, and have turned my passions of woodworking and making into my career.

Since the beginning, I have helped raise more than $22,000 for SickKids Foundation and I know that’s just the beginning.

Also, I’ve taken my knowledge I’ve learned and believe I’ve solved a problem for others wanting to start building, especially mine and future generations. 6 weeks ago, I launched MakerMind, an AI-powered platform that gives users personalized plans and guidance around their set up, including tools, skill level, interests and measurement. Personalized plans in seconds!

But one thing hasn’t changed.

I still get the same feeling walking into the workshop that I did when I was 10, inspired by the same people today that inspired me at the start. I still love making something that didn’t exist before and sharing it with you.

I never imagined 60,000 people would be following along.

Whether you’ve been here for 8 years, 8 minutes or 8 seconds, thank you!!🙏🏼

The ad read may have briefly fallen apart, but the projects don’t have to.

This episode of Off The Cut is supported by Gorilla Glue. From wood glue and wood filler to super glue, epoxy, tape, and sealant, Gorilla Tough has a solution for the projects, repairs, and springtime maintenance around the shop and house.

Gorilla. Tough enough for the pros. Easy enough for everyone.

A broken planter is bad. A broken planter that belongs to your wife is a full emergency.

Deric knocked one over, cracked it, and grabbed original Gorilla Glue to get it fixed. That’s exactly why it pays to keep the right Gorilla products around the shop and house.

For woodworking projects, Gorilla Wood Glue dries a natural color with less yellowing, cleans up with water, and is non-foaming. Pair it with Gorilla Wood Filler to help take your project from built to professional-looking.

Gorilla. Tough enough for the pros. Easy enough for everyone.

We’ve been using Gorilla Glue products in our shops on real projects, from wood glue to CA glue to two-part epoxy.
When you spend hours measuring, cutting, sanding, and getting a project right, the last thing you want is for the glue-up to be the weak point. Gorilla Wood Glue dries a natural color with less yellowing, cleans up with water, and is non-foaming.
Gorilla. Tough enough for the pros. Easy enough for everyone.

Back to work.

This year was a lot like our holidays: filled with new challenges, illnesses, hospital visits, broken bones, LOTS of snow days, busy trips, deep belly laughs, a few tears, late nights, movies on the couch so much love and some of the best conversations… and yet I couldn’t be more excited to do it all again in 2026!

Another really fun piece we got to do for Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein was Victor's backpack in the Arctic!

Made out of canvas and leather for the body of the bag, with real wood and brass for the frame, this bag was built to match the bags that were being worn by European explorers in the Arctic at that time. The frame was built for us by @zacbuilds , who is so very talented.
