The only upside to being stranded at the airport for 16 hours is that I’ve had plenty of time to listen to @switchfoot

Spent all last year in between tours recording the new @thousanddollarmovie album. We’ve done the last couple live on the floor and really wanted to capture what we do at shows in the studio, but with this one we went in to @siouxsiouxstudio with no pre pro or prac and no box of “how will we do this live?” Lots of space and strings and haunting pianos. @soundofsolis Leo and @zachluper and @dominicgeralds1 brought so many amazing ideas. Thumb Tacks is out 6/12 but link in bio for the cassette and get a download now.

You know you’ve made it in life when your closest friends show up in your backyard on a random Wednesday & surprise your Sith-loving son with a full Star Wars show (that they choreographed & secretly rehearsed multiple times 😭). Needless to say, it was a core memory for Isaac and our whole family!! Love you all deeply 🩵
