Trade the river for the lake this summer.

Stillwater season is in full swing, and there’s no better way to beat the summer heat than a day on cool mountain water chasing hard-fighting trout from the comfort of a drift boat.

Whether you’re new to stillwater fly fishing or looking to refine your techniques, our guides will help you learn everything from reading structure and wind lanes to presenting balanced leeches, chironomids, and dry flies when the hatch is on.

Head to the link in our bio to learn more and book your stillwater adventure.

Fishing Report Update: Caddis!!

Caddis are active across the region, from the San Miguel to the Gunnison, and trout are keying in on both adults and subsurface stages. Dry fly opportunities have been showing up throughout the day, but nymphing continues to be the most consistent producer.

The salmonfly hatch came and went quickly this year, but fishing remains excellent. PMDs and Yellow Sallies are now showing throughout the Gunnison, with fish looking for PMDs from the top of the Gorge all the way downriver. It’s definitely an early start for the PMD hatch this season, and we’d expect that trend to continue on the Lower Gunnison as well.

If you’re heading out, make sure you have caddis, PMDs, and Sallies in the box.

Head to the link in bio to read the full fishing report and get the latest conditions before your next trip.

So honored to be awarded the 2024 @theflyfishingshow Consumer Choice Awards Freshwater Flies of the Year: The CFA Assassin Baetis & the CFA Titan Midge take the gold.

Online Sales & Wholesale pricing available
Guide & Fly Fishing Industry Professional Pro Program Available

Thank you to everyone who voted for us, we are really appreciative of this amazing honor. After being encouraged by many to submit our exclusive patterns to one of our competitors (we didn't), and having tied for one of the others in the past, it feels pretty good to bring some brass home, twice. (We actually handed one of these same flies to one of our competitors years ago, they said nope). Thank you.

Thank you to all of our customers, always. You got us here

Look for more posts on these 2 flies coming soon.

If you got tagged or listed below, then quite simply you have either provided words of encouragement, supported the CFA endeavor, inspired us, taught us, answered silly questions, provided amazing materials to make life easier, or just put up with my nonsense and I, we all, appreciate the heck out of all of you. Thanks Ma, Pa, & John C. for your help & support. Thank you so much Rebecca for all you do, you mean the 🌎 to me. ❤️

Thank you @flyfusionmag @anglingtrademedia & @theflyfishingshow for sponsoring and giving a podium for small, local, family-owned companies. 👍

Please follow us for more original, guide tested and guide approved CFA exclusive flies throughout the year as we head towards next year's competition (Repeat!). Remember, all of our patterns are available on our website and we're working hard to get into fly shops near you as well.
