Kicking off our 26-27 season coaches rollout with our incredible directors—say hello to Matt Kearns and Zack Kallas!

Matt Kearns returns for his third season as Club Director and 16 Red Head Coach! Matt assisted the Hoosiers to their best season in program history in 2025 and looks to continue to bring his talents for player development to BTown for the 26-27 season.

Zack Kallas returns to BTown as a Head Coach and newly appointed Club Director! Zack will Head Coach both the 12 and 15 Red teams.

“I’m really excited for the upcoming season and everything it has in store. The BTown family we have built means a lot to me, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to step into a bigger role and help continue building something special.”

Man, where do I even begin. A guy from the city of the default weather app (Cupertino) with big dreams. It’s been an incredible 2.5 years here at IU-still cant believe I just graduated at the ripe age of 20. Who would’ve known.

To Indiana Volleyball: You guys gave me an opportunity that completely changed my career. For the past 14 years, I’ve grown up playing soccer and had little to no knowledge in volleyball. Being in the gym every day has taught me so much about the sport of volleyball and the game. I always have looked forward to coming to help with practice every single day. To my managers, it’s been a pleasure working with all of you guys. Coming in every day and playing before/after practice has always been fun. I have improved my volleyball skills playing with you guys. To the coaches, thank you for being great and allowing me to help you guys with scouting reports. Watching you guys coach the girls has taught me a lot more about volleyball techniques. To the players, thanks for talking to me and helping me to be the self proclaimed #1 towel boy in the nation. These two seasons have been more than a blessing. From the pregame Tik Tok dances to the countless hours spent watching film and working on the scouting report. Every moment, every memory, every practice has shaped me into who I am today. I’m truly grateful for Indiana Volleyball and the friends that I’ve made. One last thing: TOWEL HARD. TOWEL FAST.

To my roommates: From the lonely nights to the 5th wheel nights living with you guys has been a really fun time. You guys have taught me many things. It’s been great living with you guys. I hope you have enjoyed me cleaning after you guys. Thanks for taking out the trash less than 5 times over the course of these two years between the two of you. I will always remember the nights where we play basketball and me beating you guys on the court. Forever will be friends but always your daddy on the court. 😉😉 Love you boys.

To the friends I met at IU: I’ve enjoyed every part of IU and the friendships made these 2.5 years. I hope to see you guys soon!

Next up on our head coaches rollout we welcome back Calleigh Baird and Zack Kallas to BTownVBC!

Calleigh Baird returns for her 2nd year as our 13 Red head coach! Coach Calleigh’s favorite memory from 2025 was winning Union Challenge and finishing 2nd at Central Zones.

Zack Kallas begins the 4th year of his coaching career at BTownVBC as our 17 Red head coach! Coach Zack’s favorite memory from 2025 was taking A5 to 3 sets at MEQ, seeing how hard his team played, and knowing their practices paid off.

Congratulations!! BTown 16 Red takes 1st in Gold at the Union Challenge in Louisville, KY over the weekend!!! They were undefeated and won each game in only 2 sets! I know I say this all the time, but I just love this group of girls and their coaches! So blessed that Taylor gets to play on this team and be coached by Matt and Zack.

Thank you to my mom, Granny for hanging out with Carter and planning such a fun weekend with him. They went to soccer and then had a date at Texas Roadhouse. I hear lots of IU Monopoly was played and she even taught him how to gamble.😂 He loved every minute of it!

Thank you Aunt Whitley and Chesney for coming down and supporting Taylor! We love you guys and appreciate you!
