What happens when creative storytelling meets business strategy? You get a new kind of leadership-one that understands that powerful brands are not simply built through polished visuals, but through stories that people remember, connect with, and believe in. We’re proud to feature Zaid Bawab, Creative Business Leader & Storytelling Strategist, in our latest edition: “Leader Shaping Brands Through Creative Storytelling and Business Strategy in 2026” As the founder of Al Shubbak Production House, Zaid Bawab has built his journey around the intersection of production, storytelling, visual identity, talent development, and strategic thinking. From editing vacation videos on his father’s PC to building a creative production company in the Middle East, his story reflects what happens when creativity is paired with commercial discipline, curiosity, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to authenticity. His approach challenges the traditional boundaries between film, music, advertising, documentary, podcasting, personal branding, and entertainment. In today’s creative economy, these worlds are increasingly becoming one connected ecosystem-and Zaid understands the importance of thinking beyond individual deliverables. What makes his perspective particularly relevant for 2026 is his belief that as technology and AI make polished content increasingly accessible, human taste, cultural understanding, intuition, originality, and creative judgment become even more valuable. His journey also offers valuable lessons for emerging leaders: master your craft, understand people, embrace unexpected career paths, build meaningful relationships, protect your reputation, and have the patience to focus on who you are becoming—not simply how quickly you can succeed. This edition explores the experiences, challenges, creative philosophy, and leadership principles behind Zaid’s journey—and how he continues to move between the edit suite and the boardroom without losing the creative instinct that started it all. Join us in celebrating Zaid Bawab and his contribution to the evolving world of creative leadership and brand storytelling.

I just wrapped up my time at the @filmjordan Mosalsalat Lab in Petra, and I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone involved. To the fellows, I loved your projects. I loved that you are all drawing on areas you know well, care deeply about, and want to share with the world. You are all so talented— It was a pleasure to work with you. To the advisors —some old friends, some new—I enjoyed how we came together. Each bringing their unique expertise and vantage points, which allowed us to look at the projects through different, complementary lenses. The past ten days were an important reminder that series and filmmaking are best done collaboratively, with humility, open minds, and no judgment. Spaces like Mosalsalat are invaluable — they give writers room to feel supported and valued, and give advisors a chance to step back and reconnect with the essentials of the craft. A big thank you to the Royal Film Commission team, who made it all happen. @baha.alhussein, you are a wonderful facilitator and human being! @amani.sadoun and @zeinahalasthefirst, and the entire team you created the perfect environment and took such good care of us— true professionals and a joy to work with. Such a good group and a great experience. I’m really looking forward to seeing where these projects land.

Five songs into The Sleeping Beauty, and we’re already halfway through this journey. I’m taking a short pause before sharing the second half - to celebrate my birthday at the end of June and to prepare for upcoming shows. So far, these songs have carried stories of love, loss, migration, and healing. I’ve loved watching them travel beyond my room and into your lives. The Sleeping Beauty has been held by a small but very beautiful community - the collaborators who helped shape it, and all of you who have stayed curious, supportive, and present with each release. If you’d like to support the next chapter, I’ve left a Bandcamp link in my bio. Consider buying my music or sharing it with new circles. That would be the best gift this independent artist / birthday boi could ask for. See you in the next chapter 💛
