Two years ago, I released “Afwan Amman”. Just as it gained attention on playlists, radio, and TV, the timing for my planned EP felt wrong as all eyes, including mine, were on the political situation around us and they still are.

I chose to step back, focus on songwriting, learn an instrument, and shape my alter ego Badleh. I’ve worn many hats in music: directing, curating, metadata, presenting and only started making music more seriously after 30.

Now, the wait feels worth it. An album is ready and will be released soon, with more tracks, videos, and performances on the way.

⁨ ⁨ ⁨ ⁨ ⁨ ⁨ ⁨ ⁨ اللي صار مبارح ما حسّيته صدفة أو نتيجة عبثية، كان إثبات إن الحب تجاه الأشخاص ما بيروح سُدى.

رجعتني الذاكرة لـ2004، سنة صدور ألبوم باسكال مشعلاني ‪‪‪‪‪‪‪‪@pascalab‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬ «صعبة عيش من دونك». وقتها الأغنية كانت ضاربة على الراديوهات، وزميلتي في المدرسة فرح ‬‬‬الريحاني أخذت مني الكاسيت كم يوم حتى نقارن شو حبّينا. والحلو فيه ما كان يخلص: «صعبة عيش»، «سنة أولى غرام»، «بالك طويل» وشجن باسكال اللي نعرفه من أغاني اقدم لباسكال مثل «ولا ساب خبر» و«طير الغرام» (أول أغنية مصورة لنادين لبكي)، مع وتريات مميزة وتوزيعات ملحم أبو شديد‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬ اللي قدّم لها أجمل الألحان وأصبح لاحقاً زوجها وشريكها الموسيقي.

كم اشتاقت الأردن لباسكال وحفلاتها الجماهيرية في بداية الألفينات. وأنا طفل في مهرجان الفحيص كانت من أول المرات اللي بشوف فيها هذا العدد من الناس أمام فنانة بصوت أنثوي قوي وحضور طاغٍ. بس ذاكرتنا العربية مرّات قصيرة: باسكال أول فنانة عملت إعلانات، بلاتينية باسكال «نور الشمس» وصلت لماليزيا ولفيلم هوليوودي من بطولة براد بيت، قبل ما نصير نسمي هاي الصفقات Sync Deal. لذلك مزعج اختزال فنانة بتاريخ كهذا اليوم في ميم، لفظة خارج سياقها، خطأ إملائي بتغريدة أو إطلالة غير معاصرة.

مبارح في ختام مهرجان شبيب‬‬‬‬ ‬‬الجمهور طلب أغاني من بداية التسعينات حتى جديدها «كيفك»: «لما بشوفك»، «نشفتلي دمي»، «شو عملتلك أنا»، «يا مدقدق». أكثر من 30 سنة والجمهور بعده حافظ.

وهذا هو الـimpact والتأثير اللي صعب تشرحه لأجيال الGen Z والـAlpha. حضرت حفلات لفنانين ضاربين اليوم، لكن الحالة مختلفة. مبارح ما كان في شاشات ضخمة ولا أغاني مسجلة؛ كان في فنانة مكتفية بأرشيفها بصوتها وفرقتها وروح سعيدة تعدي من آخر المسرح لأول صف، قريبة من الناس، ذات وجه جميل لا يزال طفولي وكأنها ما بتؤمن بدرس الشهرة الحديث «شوف حالك وابعد عن الناس حتى تعمل لحالك قيمة».

سألت شو بدكم تسمعوا؟ صرخت «صعبة عيش». فنادتني على المسرح لأغنيها معها، بلا تحضير نفس الأغنية اللي كنت أسمعها على الكاسيت سنة 2004.

Grateful to have been part of this year’s Amman International Film Festival @ammanfilm - Awal Film as a screening moderator

Over two evenings, I had the pleasure of moderating the Q&As for Arab Shorts - Program 4 and Out of Competition Shorts, meeting filmmakers behind the work and opening conversations between them and the audience.

As a filmmaker myself, it was interesting to experience a festival from a different side: to listen, ask questions, and create space for other filmmakers to speak about their process, choices, challenges, and the stories behind their films.

Thank you @fadighaddad and to the Amman International Film Festival team for the trust and invitation, to the filmmakers for sharing their work and their thoughts so generously, and to everyone in the audience who stayed, listened, and joined the conversations.

Scripts, coffee, little sleep, and a lot of conversations about series.

Spent the past few days reading, listening, questioning, giving notes, receiving notes, and being reminded how much better a show’s script becomes when it passes through other people’s minds.

Grateful for the fellows, mentors, and back home with new friends and new ideas.

في موسم رمضان 2026، طل علينا مسلسل “قبّان موسى” كعمل دافئ يلامس القلب قبل أن يثير الضحكة، ضمن ساعة الكوميديا على قناة رؤيا.

هذا العمل الكوميدي ذو الطابع التراثي لا يكتفي بصناعة مواقف مضحكة، بل ينسج حكاية قريبة من واقعنا، مليئة بالتفاصيل التي نعرفها ونعيشها.

تدور القصة في قرية بسيطة، حيث يقف شاب في مواجهة طموح مستثمر يسعى لتحويل إرث والده إلى مشروع حديث، وفي هذا الصراع تنكشف معاني أعمق عن الانتماء، والذاكرة، وقيمة المكان. وبين لحظات الحب والمواقف الطريفة، تتداخل المشاعر الإنسانية الصادقة مع لمسات من الخداع والصراع من أجل البقاء، خاصة مع دخول ابنة المستثمر إلى حياته، لتزيد القصة تعقيدًا وجمالًا.

“قبّان موسى” ليس مجرد مسلسل كوميدي، بل هو مرآة ناعمة تعكس عاداتنا وتفاصيلنا اليومية بروح خفيفة وقريبة، تجعلك تبتسم وتفكر في نفس الوقت. عمل يُحترم فيه التراث، وتُروى فيه الحكايات بصدق، ليصل لكل الأعمار ويترك أثرًا لطيفًا في القلب بعد كل حلقة.
