“Street skating has been around for almost 50 years. What began with the creation of the basic flatground tricks eventually turned into 10-year-olds hitting ground breaking spots just to post the clip on their Instagram story. Skating used to be about creativity, self-expression, and cruising around town with the homies on the hunt for the next great spot. The sad truth is that it’s the year 2026, and we are running out of skatespots. Almost everything has been done, and even though these tricks are richter, we are numb to it. That’s where Kyle Walsh took matters into his own hands..”

Good waves, good light, and these ladies weee absolutely ripping. Tried to catch a little more than just the turns… the waiting, the cheering, the in-between moments.

When I was little I thought two careers would be fun, playing in the MLB, and making YouTube videos like the ones I used to watch. It's special that I now get to be apart of video projects with some of the biggest brands in the world and also do it with our own creativity and friends behind it. It's only the beginning but when you nail a shoot like this and people watch it, that feels good. Shoutout to the homie @walshkyle for being one of the coolest dudes we've got to work with and dumping concrete in broad daylight to skate a ledge🤣 Big thanks to @austindesousa & @zanemiller95 for making this shoot easy and for two of my favorite local brands @rationalebrewing & @banzaibowls for being apart of this one. Next week we head to New Orleans to document the X Games, what a lifeeeeee🙌

LIVING WATER | Worship on the Waves

It’s a bit of an old cliche, an excuse to skip church on a pretty day, to say we might worship best on the golf course, or at the beach. And while scripture reminds us that we do need each other and corporate worship in our journey with Him (Hebrews 10:25), I was reminded this week, while at a church service, that God’s heart delights in our delight in Him. And our delight in Him and gratitude towards Him is a form of worship. Our worship is not just about turning our hearts to God, though that’s important. It also brings joy to the heart of our Heavenly Father.

On a morning when my church was meeting a day early because our coastal town was expecting imminent, uncharacteristically extreme winter weather, the pastor commented about God’s true delight when we worship Him. Thinking beyond the amazing music worship set of the day, I immediately thought about surfing (I can’t be the only one who daydreams about it).
