Some moments on the playa felt almost unreal.

Watching ZARVAN become part of the landscape, surrounded by fire, dust, moonlight, and the people who brought it to life in their own ways, was something I will never forget.

A piece of Persian heritage standing in the vastness of Black Rock Desert, creating its own stories through every encounter.

Art becomes something greater when people make it their own. 🩵✨

First week was the typical oven, second week turned into ski season. Regardless, the art was impressive again, against the never-ending backdrop of white desert sand. Everything brought in and set up by passionate strangers, to be enjoyed by so many.

What a gift.

👑 Finding moments of timeless elegance in the dust. ✨🌎
So captivated by the sheer presence of Zarvan @zarvanproject a monumental masterpiece by the incredibly talented Gazelle Dasti @GazelleDasti gracing the playa at #BurningMan2026
This breathtaking sculpture, with its serene turquoise face and a gold crown featuring intricate stained-glass cutouts, is a true fusion of ancient Persian artistry and contemporary design. The detailed, colorful floral and geometric patterns (islimi) adorning the surface are just mesmerizing, especially in this soft desert light. 🌺🕌
Seeing it at this scale, with friends working at its base, really emphasizes the colossal effort of construction. A huge shoutout to Gazelle and her team for months of hard work, engineering, and dedication to turn this profound vision into a reality in #BlackRockCity 🏜️The complex pattern work and structural ingenuity required are humbling.
Immense gratitude to @BurningMan and the entire community for creating the space where art like this can exist and inspire. Thank you, Gazelle, for sharing your gift with us. ❤️🙌

Spark the Firefly mega reel! You’ve waited patiently and we finally got around to putting together some of our favorite pics and vids of Spark’s inaugural migration to the playa for Burning Man 2026: Axis Mundi. To say having a mutant vehicle changed our burn would be an understatement. Between the added mobility, the many people and families who hitched a ride, or told us how much they adored Spark, or shared their favorite childhood firefly memory, the magic of this year’s burn will not soon be forgotten. Thanks again to all who supported, donated, or helped bring her to life (and to the playa!)—we cannot wait to come back year after year and share the fun. You can catch Spark at some regional events throughout the year, otherwise we’ll be back for 2027 in Black Rock City!! Signing off…shine bright and “check out my butt!” (IYKYK😉✨)

Another favourite piece at Burning Man this year: [Mighty] Zarvan. @zarvanproject

Beautifully brought to life by Gazelle Dasti (@gazelledasti). Persian pride, sitting the most pretty in the middle of the desert.

Probably one of the busiest art pieces out there this year. Every time I tried to capture a clean, people-less shot, I failed miserably. So the first frame is the one I eventually settled on.

It honestly blows my mind how much work, time, love, and sheer effort goes into creating something this magnificent then bringing it all the way out to the playa. Assembling it. Throwing parties around it. Taking care of it. Living with it for a week. Then disassembling the whole thing and calling it a day. If it’s not burned, of course.

Gazelle, we’re all so proud of you my dear friend. You created something that made some magical impact on everyone who experienced it, brought a very special veteran artist into tears, and I have a feeling Zarvan will be on people’s tongues for years to come.

Well done, can’t wait to see your next project. Keep pushing through.

This year’s art at Burning Man was incredible.

The creativity and passion that artists bring to the playa never fails to amaze me.

This stunning piece is @zarvanproject by Iranian artist @gazelledasti — a powerful celebration of Persian culture, boundless time, and the timeless language of art.

From Iran, with love. From the past, toward the future.

I love the fact that Phoenix Adams bought her Zarvan teeshirt at the the Zarvan fundraiser. She then bedazzled the shirt by hand w/ turquoise beads like the real art & customized the fringe & shape of it. Jewels of Black Rock City #burningman #zarvan #burnergirls #beading #burningmanart
