Mnemosyne Projects & Bellevalia Hydra gathered friends for an evening celebrating the inaugural Bellevalia Olive Grove Art Residency following Bellevalia’s renovation led by architect Marilia Lezou @marilialez and iterior designer @k4trikon ,opening a new chapter for the house as a space for cultural exchange.

We welcomed our first resident artist, Stefan Dotter @stefandotter Inspired by Stefan's work and reflections, this year's theme came naturally as "Belonging," the connections that bind us to a place and shape our sense of self within it.

A site-specific exhibition "Vessels" curated by Ekaterina Juskowski @juskowski placed works by four ceramicists, Dianne Alexandre @dianealexandre , Dana Aviv @dana.aviv.ceramics , Zen Du @zen_du , and Nadiia Shpoval @nadiiashapoval among living olive trees, in the sun and beside the sea, allowing human intuition and nature to appear as expressions of the same search for belonging.

Katerina Trikon @k4trikon also curated the evening, grounding it in the island's character. Aggelos Aggelou @aggelos.aggelou.79 , brought the sound of rebetika and Afro-Greek spirit into the grove. Andrew Kamel @andrechameau followed with a preview of songs from his upcoming album, mixing bossa nova and French chanson, drawing on influences from Brazil to the Levant.

Belonging became a meeting point for people, places, and stories.

We look forward to the next chapter!

Mnemosyne Projects presents the works of four ceramicists in a site-specific exhibition at Bellevalia Olive Grove. Set within the living landscape, the exhibition explores ceramics beyond function, as a medium once shaped for symbolic, ritualistic, and artistic purposes. In this context, ceramics take on another dimension, one that carries memory, identity, belief, and transformation. Together, site and objects invite reflection on the relationship between human intuition and the natural world.
