And the journey has now ended,

And as Mr Garfunkel said now I’m just trying keep the customers satisfied,

Don’t cry, don’t worry, I’m still cutting hair cause I have to eat and I really want to drive my truck so please let me cut your hair.

But the schooling journey is done. So here’s a little recap.

What started from an @samfordu tradition turned into the Lord’s calling on my life.

I never thought getting to know the great people of Birmingham would look like this and I’m so grateful it does. Watching the journey go from fraternity kitchens, to old workplaces that made you realize the desire to work in the industry, to Cullman, AL Christmas markets and anywhere that had a wall outlet and finally @zephyrbarber shows you just how God intended this has been for me.

I am so grateful for the zephyr team that every day continues to better my craft and for @kellenmataafa who has lead me every step of the way.

Also thankful for @themailroombarber for proving a learning experience that has allowed me to grow as much as I have.

And of course, the family, friends, and people of Birmingham who trust me in doing this. The greatest part of the job is hearing the stories of the community and I’m grateful to have some of your time.

Grateful is the word for the season and all of this being possible by a loving God who doesn’t without good gifts from his children.

And this is the living proof!

To that farewell mannequin heads and let me know if you need a cut anytime soon!

Thanks for joining the journey!

It’s no secret that Birmingham loves local coffee. We worked from June Coffee near downtown this morning, a perfect spot for rainy day coffee and breakfast (or, grab coffee at June and a pastry at Last Call Bakery if you get in line early enough!). June Coffee is part of a fun pocket of local spots, with @lastcallbaking and @zephyrbarber Barbershop right next door.

Which coffee spot should we head to next?
