I originally created the Zephyr Guide exclusively for our clients and especially those who have recently moved here. Today I decided I’d just share it with the general public.

4 years. Thankful is an understatement.

We love what we do and we love all of you who choose to sit in our chair and trust us with your hair.

Since Day 1, our goal has been simple: give a good haircut, build confidence, be a good listener, and make sure people know that they matter. Four years later and that hasn’t changed.

Some people find their calling in the most unexpected places.

Kellen Mataafa grew up in San Diego, but a summer program brought him to Alabama and changed the course of his life. What started as giving buzz cuts in a motel laundry room turned into a genuine passion for the craft and for the connections that come with it. After earning his barber's license in Birmingham, he opened Zephyr Barber in 2022 with a simple goal: create a space where every person who walks through the door feels welcomed and cared for.
