POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Time for another #OldSkoolChallengeClub task, this one os the #HauntingHaiku where they are asking for a good old 5-7-5 haiku with a spooky twist and for extra measure to create a little backstory to your haiku story title.

So since we are #HereForTheFunNotTheNumbers here is my attempt.

A Pinch Of Magic
Love And A Little White Lie
The Shadow Keeper

Blurb
Born to an ancient order called the shadow keepers, Bee knows she has to keep her identity a secret to those who hunt her kind. She starts a new life in a small town where she runs a store selling everything one could need to do a little light home magic. After an unfortunate incident, when the kind, good-looking bookseller next door comes to Bee's rescue, she has to decide whether to keep up her little white lies about who she really is, or whether a pinch of magic and love is enough to protect her secret.

So thats my attempt, must admit, having not written a haiku in a *number* of years, this was trickier than I imagined and I had to keep counting out syllables on my fingers while gazing across my bookshelves. I've tagged a few folks to see if any of them fancy joining in, no pressure, its just some fun!

#BlueMonday
We have been having our bathroom fixed this weekend. Today has been an odd one with work and I feel very unsettled. Pain and fatigue is still very high.
So i thought id share some #bluecover books with you. Ive met @samuelburr at @the_book_taster event
I have read "Meet the Newmans" last month and this spread edge is just so clever.

Whats your favourite blue cover book?

Good morning Bookstagram - hope you are doing ok? I’m looking forward to hitting the gym today then after lunch going to collect my new glasses 👓
.

I thought I’d share my #octoberhopefuls as I’ve picked up my reading a bit lately (nothing like 2023 and 2024!) so I’m actually looking forward to my next read!
.

It’s well and truly thriller season now imho but I like to throw the odd curve ball into the mix. Let’s see how well I do!
.

Do you have a planned #tbr for October?

🎈 HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEPHEN KING 🎈

If I had to pick an author that’s been with me for most of my reading life then it would definitely be Uncle Steve. He’s given me everything from hardcore horror, iconic chapters, psychological thrillers and one of the best fantasy series I’ve ever read. He’s an allrounder in my eyes and can do no wrong.

I’ve been collecting editions of his books for a few years now and think I’m pretty much getting there with this collection. My next SK read will probably be The Talisman and I’ve potentially lined @zeroshelfcontrol up for a buddy read of it. Message us if you want to tag along too!

Anyway, happy birthday to the greatest! Feel free to share your favourite King book below!

Happy Sunday all! So late! ⏰ sorry guys! So when @lockdownbooklover said she was doing #vonniesshelfshifters I had to join in! I got paired up with the lovely @far_away_in_thriller_land_ who has spoiled me! There was also some sweets 🍬 but ahem, me and @timsoul66 ate them! I have to apologise to @far_away_in_thriller_land_ as I haven’t sent my package yet due to being away in Milan and having a head like a sieve! #sharingiscaring❤️ #bookish #bookstagram #bookstagrammer
