No one talks about how bittersweet this season is. How you can be counting down the weeks until you meet one little person, while mourning the chapter you’ve loved so much with another.

Brooks, thank you for giving me the most beautiful two years of us. Thank you for making me a mom, for being my little shadow, & for teaching me a love I never knew existed. Soon you’ll have a baby sister, & I can’t wait to watch you become her big brother. I hope you always know that loving her will never take anything away from the love I have for you.
