Six Composers, One Evening of Bold New Music

Earlier this year, six composers were given time, a room on the Kent coast and a world-class player at their side: Associate Artists Thomas Kelly (piano) and Ryan Corbett (accordion), with Paul Mealor LVO and John Frederick Hudson as tutors.

End of an Era.

It feels surreal and nostalgic to finally mark the end of a (big) chapter in my life. I’m so grateful for all of the support my family, my doctoral supervisor, the @royalacademyofmusic research department, and my friends gave during my 5 years of embarking on this research project.

It’s a unique experience to dedicate my life to something so specific for such a long time, and it was special to celebrate it with so many dear friends who have also gone through the same journey. Congratulations PhD Class of 2026! We’ve done it 🥳🎉

[Image Description: A collage of photos of Isaac at the graduation ceremony, including a solo photo of Isaac in the doctoral gown holding a bouquet of crochet flowers, photos with family members and fiancée, photo with supervisor, photos with fellow PhD graduands and staff members, and a photo of the bouquet of crochet flowers, LEGO minifigure, cat keyring, and cards]

So happy to share that I have just completed my first studio album recording - Moments & Eternity. This album is about TIME - it is a wide scenario - it contains emotions, life, poetry, drama, and death etc… All of those, will live forever! The repertoire I have chosen for this album is all about those life experiences. At the same time, I’m grateful to have my friend and composer Zhenyan Li (@zhenyan___ ) featuring a new work for this album.

I’m very lucky to have @deuxellesrecords team Matt and Andrew for pushing me beyond my limits to get the best possible results! As well as to all the sponsors to make this project possible! Thank you all so much!

Very looking forward to my first album release in 2027 @deuxellesrecords .
