My first cake log! Landscape Cake — inspired by Mahler’s composing hut in Steinbach am Attersee, Austrian lakes, and landscapes.

The launch concert is on 20 June, 7.30pm at @stjohnswaterlooarts , with pay-what-you-can tickets.

The programme will feature the premiere of my new piece ‘Eat Your Rage’, performed by @orchestrafortheearth and conducted by @warnjr.

Future performances at @gustavmahler_attersee and more.

Come hear what this cake sounds like! 🏔️🍰

Three composers. One accordion. Three new pieces.

We are thrilled to announce the composers joining JAM’s Composer Residency, Into the Bellows: Composing for Accordion with the brilliant Ryan Corbett.

Zhenyan Li · George W. Parris · Noah Max

This May in Kent, the composers will gather inspiration from a week by the sea. They’ll have time to create, reflect and dive deep into the unusual aspects of the accordion, discovering what the instrument can become.

Working with accordionist Ryan Corbett and mentors Paul Mealor LVO and John Frederick Hudson (Artistic Director of JAM), each composer will create a new work for solo accordion. World premiere on 11 July at JAM on the Marsh Festival, St Nicholas in New Romney. A London performance will follow in the autumn.

We cannot wait to hear what they create.

So much went on behind the scenes to make last night happen.

Huge thanks to everyone who baked, designed, packed, set up, cleared up, ran around, and quietly held things together. And to our community partners and Camden Chinese Community Centre for the space and the warmth.

Thank you for making it what it was.🩷
