❤️ Help the Madsen Family Rebuild Their Home

Some of my good friends, whom I grew up with, have lost part of their home due to the excessive rain here in Zion.

The Madsen family has been a part of the Zion community for as long as I can remember. It’s heartbreaking to see a family that means so much to this community go through something like this.

A GoFundMe has been created to help them rebuild and get back on their feet. If you’re able to donate, any amount would mean so much. If you can’t donate, sharing this post would also help tremendously.

Let’s come together as a community and show the Madsen family some love during this difficult time. ❤️

🙏 Donate or share here:

Thank you to everyone who can help. ❤️ #zionnationalpark #zionconcierge #utah #angelslanding #narrows

What changes when we stop thinking about the next step and begin to move?

Kriya means action. Not simply intention, but the movement that carries us from thought into lived experience.

This Saturday, we gather at Nama-Stay for KRIYA | Through The Breath, guided by Vaughn Cruz.

Through a grounded sequence of movement, breath, and stillness, this practice invites us out of the constant activity of the mind and back into the body, creating space for presence, clarity, and purposeful action.

No previous experience is needed. Simply bring yourself, your breath, and a willingness to be present.

Saturday, October 17 · 6–7:30 PM
Nama-Stay Retreat Village · Springdale, Utah
$35 · All are welcome

🌄 ZION NATIONAL PARK: THE NARROWS

If you’re planning to hike The Narrows from the bottom up, here’s exactly what you need to know 👇🏾

🚗 GETTING THERE:
During shuttle season, drive to Zion and park at the Visitor Center or in Springdale. Take the Zion Canyon Shuttle to Stop 9— Temple of Sinawava, the final stop.

🚶🏾‍♀️ THE HIKE:
From Stop #9, follow the Riverside Walk for about 1 mile. This is where the adventure changes you’ll eventually enter the Virgin River and begin hiking through the canyon itself.

💦 EXPECT WATER!
You’ll be walking through the river, so expect slippery rocks, uneven terrain and water that can range from ankle/knee deep to much deeper depending on conditions. Water levels change frequently, so check the river flow, weather and flash-flood forecast before you go. The Narrows closes when there’s a flash-flood warning. (National Park Service)

👟 WHAT TO BRING:
• Proper water/hiking shoes with good traction
• A walking stick or trekking poles
• Dry bag for your phone/valuables
• Plenty of water + snacks
• Layers depending on the season

⚠️ IMPORTANT: The Narrows is not a hike to wing it. Check current conditions before entering, and turn around if conditions become unsafe.

And trust me… walking between those massive canyon walls with the Virgin River flowing around you is an experience you HAVE to see for yourself! 🏔️💦

More Zion National Park. Just a 2 hour drive from Las Vegas and you are in a different world.

The main town is called Springdale which is beautiful.
There are regular Shuttles which take you inside the park to the various stops and hikes. We hired e-bikes which made for a more scenic trip, and so glad we did. We hired bikes and wet water boots from @zionguru who were brilliant. They gave us a briefing about walking in The Narrows before we set off. I would recommend hiring the boots and walking stick if you are going to hike up the river. You need decent boots with all the rocks, and the stick is a god send to stop you falling in.
The Narrows is a must do whilst at Zion. Highly recommend it.

Free national park entry for a whole year?!

Every U.S. 4th grader can get a free Every Kid Outdoors pass, and it covers the whole family.

We used ours to hit Utah’s Mighty 5!

🔥 Arches: Scrambled through the Fiery Furnace.
💡You need a permit or a spot on a ranger-led hike, so book ahead.

🌄 Canyonlands: Mesa Arch is an easy half-mile walk.
💡Get there early to beat the crowds and get an incredible morning view.

🌨️ Capitol Reef: Hiked to Hickman Bridge in a hailstorm.
Totally worth it.
💡Stop in Fruita for a pie from the Gifford House, then check which orchards are open-you can pick and eat ripe fruit right off the trees! 🥧🍎

🪨 Bryce Canyon: Hoodoos everywhere.
💡On the Navajo/Queen’s Garden loop, go down the steep switchbacks first so the climb out is easier.

🏞️ Zion: Waded up the river through the Narrows. Nothing else like it!
💡Rent footwear from @zionguru to keep feet warm in the cool water and steady on the slippery rocks.

🧳 Know before you go:
* Get the Every Kid Outside pass at everykidoutdoors.gov.
* It’s in your 4th grader’s name, so they have to be with you whenever you use it.
* Some parks (like Arches) may require a separate timed-entry reservation in peak season, so check before you go!

📔National park tip if you’re traveling with kids: Ask about the Junior Ranger program at the visitor center! They’ll do activities as they explore and can earn a badge at the end.🏅

📌 Save this for when your kid hits 4th grade, and tag a parent who needs it!

When voices gather, something begins to shift.

A melody becomes a shared breath. A simple mantra becomes something we carry together. And in the warmth of candlelight, we find space to listen, sing, and connect.

One week from today, we invite you to join us for Kirtan by Candlelight, an intimate evening of music and devotion guided by @leodeymusic .

Rooted in the tradition of Bhakti Yoga, kirtan brings voices together through soulful call-and-response chanting. What begins in stillness may gradually unfold into rhythm, movement, and the simple joy of singing together.

Whether this is your first experience with kirtan or a practice you return to often, you are welcome here.

Friday, October 2 · 6:30–8 PM

Nama-Stay Retreat Village · Springdale, Utah

$35 per person · All are welcome

Space is intentionally limited.

Visit the link in our bio to explore Kirtan by Candlelight and join us for this special evening.

We spent this past weekend exploring Zion National Park, and The Narrows might be one of the coolest hikes we’ve ever done. 💦🥾

We took the park shuttle from the Visitor Center to the final stop, Temple of Sinawava, walked about a mile, and then stepped into the Virgin River, where the river literally becomes the trail.

We went with @ZionGuru and HIGHLY recommend them. They provided neoprene socks, water shoes, hiking sticks, and dry bags, and I was so glad we had all of it. The water can be murky and the rocks are slippery, so having a guide help with the route and foot placement, while also keeping an eye on flash flood conditions, was incredibly helpful. 🙌

One more tip: stay in Springdale if you can. It’s right outside the park with great lodging and restaurants, and it’s such a fun town to explore. We stayed within walking distance of the Visitor Center, which made catching the shuttle SO easy.

Absolutely breathtaking, definitely challenging, and one of those experiences we’ll remember forever.

We have talked about this trip for years.

Always someday.

Someday showed up in Las Vegas as a 45 foot bus.
Our driver is named Dirk. Verdict from the back seat, before anybody had met him: “Dirk is cool, dude, man.”
Six of us. Fifteen days. Nose pointed at Zion National Park.
Follow me for new episodes every other day until we get home. Day 1 of 15.
