Infinite is Eminem's debut studio album that was released on November 12, 1996. This album is short, with only 11 tracks and running at a measley 30+ minutes.

Friday was the 25th year anniversary of this album as much as it was the beginning of Em's professional rap career. And although this album cant be found on Spotify, it can be listened to on YouTube.

Production
The production on this album isn't that unique, but it does have that 90s vibe that combines great percussion, some high hats (cymbles), and even a jazz/freestyle-like aesthetic that makes many of these songs able to be rapped on pretty well. Tbh, this album actually reminds me of Joey Bada$$ 1999 mixtape production/lyrically-wise. Further, there are vocals on songs like Tonite that hypes up the song in a melodic way. The only problem I noticed is that much of the production sounds distant or if they were played "live." At times, Em's voice even sounds distant.

Lyricism
Eminems lyricism on this album is really good, and is quite unlike his more aggressive freestylying and rapping of today. Eminem raps in a boom bap/freestyle-like style that takes influences from LL Cool J (on Jealousy Woes 2), Slick Rick, and even Outkast. Em's wordplay is put well to use on songs like 313, Open Mic, and Backstabber. Even then, every track on this album is good lyrically. The main problems, although, is that it feels like much of the production sounds repetitive.

Features
There are not too many features, as it is mainly focues on Eminem. But there are a few features that stand out, such as Eye-Kyu on 313. Even then, the features that are on this album provide great background towards what Em is rapping or saying.

Conclusion
This is a great debut album. And although it "flopped" at the time, this album takes influences from previous rappers while emphasizing boom bap production. This album is beautifully made, and shows everything Eminem had to go through to not only take care of himself, but also his daughter, his financial problems, and his mental health as well.

Rating: 8.8/10
