🏆 GRAND PRIX WINNER AT THE SHAIKE FILM FESTIVAL!

We’re proud to announce that @dreamkite_studios Co-Founder & Chief Creative Director @mark_wachholz has won the Grand Prix at the @shaikefilmfestival in La Ciotat, France, for his short film “A Message for the Butterfly,” co-directed with Zuxin Hou (@zn11).

Bringing together traditional filmmaking and new creative technologies, the film explores themes of memory and connection through the delicate world of butterflies.🦋🪁

The award ceremony took place at the historic Eden Théâtre, widely regarded as the world’s oldest operating cinema, in the birthplace of cinema itself.

A huge congratulations to Mark and Zuxin on this achievement! 👏🏼

The Full AI Selection is dedicated exclusively to short films created entirely through AI-generated images. Here, every frame is born from an artificial process, but behind every image always lies a human mind, a vision, and a new way of expressing and telling stories.

Only by watching can we discover the intentions, ideas and possibilities that, according to these directors, emerge from this new way of doing cinema.

🎬 Don’t miss the screenings at Merge Film Festival, the first festival in Switzerland entirely dedicated to AI in
cinema.
