Stronger shoulders start with better movement. 💪✨

Let’s talk about the bent-arm lateral raise!

This exercise primarily targets your lateral deltoids (the sides of your shoulders), while your anterior deltoids and upper back muscles help support and stabilize the movement.

Why should you be doing these? 👀

✨ Build shoulder strength — Strengthens the muscles responsible for lifting your arms out to the sides.

✨ Improve shoulder stability — Helps develop control around the shoulder joint for stronger, more intentional movement.

✨ Support everyday movement — From lifting and carrying to reaching overhead, stronger shoulders make daily activities feel easier.

✨ Strengthen your mind-muscle connection — Keeping your arms bent shortens the lever, allowing you to focus on control and proper muscle engagement.

Remember, it’s not about how heavy you lift. It’s about how well you move. Focus on keeping your shoulders relaxed, your ribs stacked over your pelvis, and moving with intention.

A little reminder to slow down, take a breath, and give yourself some grace. 🌿💚 You don’t have to reach burnout to deserve a reset. Rest is part of progress, too. ✨

Your foot placement changes your bridge 👀

Bring your feet in closer → you may feel more quads.
Slide them out a bit → hello glutes 🍑
Take them farther away → your hamstrings have to work harder.

Same bridge, completely different emphasis depending on where your feet are placed. Small adjustments can make a BIG difference in what you feel!

Save this for your next workout + follow for more movement tips like this. 💚

Where do YOU feel your bridges the most… quads, glutes, or hamstrings?

The Pilates Roll Up ✨ A movement that looks simple, but there’s so much happening when you slow it down and connect to it.

I’ll always cue you through the how and why behind the movement … not just tell you what to do.

Save this for your next Pilates session & head to The Zoe Method for more. 💚

If your shoulder is doing more work than your side body during a side bend… this one’s for you 👀

A side bend isn’t just about getting yourself up and down. Where you’re pushing, what you’re stabilizing, and where you’re actually feeling the movement matters.

Here, think about pushing the floor away instead of sinking into your supporting shoulder. Create space between your shoulder and your ear, stay active through the arm, and let your core + side body do the work.

This is a huge part of how I coach. I don’t just want to give you workouts to follow… I want you to understand what you’re doing, why you’re doing it, and what you should be feeling.

So SAVE these little form breakdowns. 📌 Come back to them when something feels off, you’re unsure where you should be feeling a movement, or you just need a quick refresher before your workout.

The goal isn’t just to move more… it’s to move better, connect more, and understand your body while you’re doing it. 🤍

And yes… you can still get a really good workout while caring about proper form. 😂
