One year ago today…. We filmed Jed.

Here’s some BTS and bloops!!!

Personally, it is very hard for me to remember this time last year. I was working 40+ hours a week between 4-5 different parttime jobs and already working on a commissioned video. Insane that I was like, “You know what, I could really film an atmospheric music video right now…….” Got max 5 hours of sleep every night for about 6 weeks there—NOT good for working memory OR service jobs, lemme tell ya.

What I do remember is stressing out about set dressing and taxidermy placement, and Gabe set-decing everything perfectly in 15 minutes and then hauling the 5’9” tape dummy she made from her car.
I remember worrying about the schedule and a company move, and Kiley and Alix both being so reassuring and capable.
I remember needing an extra hand and asking J if he could swing by—he was only available for two hours, but still managed to come by.
I remember calling Alyssa while driving from one job to another to talk about the paper props, and her sending me the final designs for them that same night.
I remember struggling to find an available gaffer, so I gaffed the first shoot day myself, but when we went back for reshoots I had by chance met Zoë at the 502 Film Wrap party literally DAYS before and she miraculously agreed to help us out.
I remember my mom helping me pack her van with props and set dressing, and getting everyone coffee the morning of the shoot.
I remember my lil brother, the most frightening serial killer and the goofiest farm boy, trying to keep the slightly-too-small hat on his head.
I remember my dad donning his tall straw hat, excited to be axe murdered.
I remember Quillan, patiently listening to me word-vomit about my storyboard and as I watched him start to make the shotlist I thought to myself, “I don’t know if I trust anyone more than I trust him.”

All this to say:
I love film. I love my buds. I’m glad we did it.

moments from @loveoutloudfest 🌩️🌱🦋

what a beautifullllll experience this was. the atmosphere of the whole fest was so warm and buzzy and special.

first and foremost @tayzzymusic you absolutely killed it executing this event. genuinely amazed at the way you put this whole thing together so gracefully, professionally and with such care to detail. your service in giving back to the community is really something special and rare. i’ve known you for a short time, but in that time Tay i’ve serisouly gained such an admiration and respect for the work that you do. not only are you a damn good artist and musician but you are doing really important shit for your people. 💜

i also had the privilege of meeting @seasoned4u @shamekaformayor at the fest! i got to listen to her speak and connect with her aswell which was so cool. whenever ive listened to miss Shameka speak it always gives me chills. im proud to be a Louisvillian while she is running for mayor because it gives me hope for this city and country overall; seeing women like her fight for her community out of love and dedication.

shoutout to @tinyterrorbyte for pulling thru (yet again) and helping me run my merch table, capturing footage, and helping me w the tiny logistical things that every show has but no one preps for or thinks about. now that i’m in the game it’s becoming more n more clear to me i could not do this on my own, and im so so thankful to have somebody in my corner like u that’s gonna hold me down & have my back any time, any day. 🩵🧸

and lastly i just want to say that i got to connect w/ so many amazing people at Love Out Loud; ppl that stopped by my merch booth, after my set, or during breakdown. i witnessed so much talent and creativity and LOVE in one night. these types of spaces are what i always craved to be a part of and im so thankful im here. thank you to everyone who came outside to support all of us!

until the next LOL……. ;)

Overjoyed 🎉

Words can't describe the experience I had being part of the 2023 Photography team at the @FISU World University Games in Lake Placid. From the two hour drives to hockey arenas, to late editing nights and Wolf Run. The @lakeplacid2023 games somehow brought a whopping 20 of us into a close team that only knew how to raise the bar every single day.

Thank you to @newhousesu for the experience, and the FISU games for hosting us. With that, it wouldn't have been the same without meeting professionals across the world in every discipline of sport.

Here's to knowing how to take a deep breath once in a while, and enjoy what you got while you got it.

Thank you to everyone, and the entire team for the support ❤

📸: Nancie Battaglia, Porter Binks, Maddie Crooke, and a few others as well. Thank you all 😭
