Satisfied. Sweat. Stimulated. Shrek.
These are all words I can use to describe my time working on Las Culturistas Culture Awards. This show was an absolute fever dream! Being a fan of the first televised show, I did not feel worthy of being around comedic geniuses that nominate “Amal Clooney and a fart after eating a cucumber.” This talented team was so welcoming and were a part of many “pinch me” moments. The fact that I got to share that with some friends is unreal. Every job invigorates me to do more and to be more. This show did that AND allowed me to collab with great people - ELECTRIC⚡️

The @lasculturistas culture awards is such a special project. I love this show and the people I get to work on it with. This year is sillier than ever and I have a sneaky feeling you’re going to love it too :) Tune in tomorrow night 9pm on @bravotv & @peacock for a beautiful night in cultch!

It’s been about a month and a half since I was in and out of ER’s and became unable to walk independently without a cane or any assistance, or really do much of anything on my own. During that time, I was diagnosed with a neurological disorder. I’ve been going through extensive PT and treatments, but I spend most days struggling to walk, see, or do anything. The condition brings symptoms like loss of mobility/function, numbness, tingling, severe dizziness, loss of balance, tremors, and difficulty with both vision and controlled movement.

It’s been an incredibly challenging experience, and my life has completely changed but I’m beyond thankful for the support of my family, friends, doctors, and specialists.

Here are some good memories over the past month or so and some PT sessions since Dr. Meg is the best! I hadn’t walked without my handy dandy cane or someone guiding me in about a month but today was a new day…a beautiful day…my first time taking some full steps without my cane or anybody guiding me and spoiler alert…I didn’t fall and it was a success ;) check out that last slide

It’s all about the baby steps baby 😜

My award show week in LA continued with @aarp Movies For Grownups. Hosted by the always lovely @alancummingreally; featuring songs, heartfelt speeches, a Clooney Wyle reunion and @adamsandler getting the career achievement award. Bonnaroo turned into rainyroo , nonnaroo, muddyroo, floodaroo, donearoo, stuckaroo, cancelledroo, and many other Roo’s, but we still made the best of it! Met some amazing new peeps and still had a blast Forever grateful for my squad this year and the adventures we went on after the evacuation.
