For the person who wants a slow and restful vacation in Split Croatia, here’s where I’d recommend 🫶🏻

Kašjuni Beach | pebble beach
Clear, calm water tucked below Marjan Hill. It’s quieter than the beaches in town. The views are absolutely stunning. It has one bar but pack a lunch

Prokurative | seaside square
A big open square with stone arcades that faces the water. It’s a lovely spot for a slow coffee and some people watching.

ZOI Restaurant | fine dining
This is where I’d go for a special dinner. Get a reservation for sunset and a table on the balcony. It’s an incredible experience

Diocletian’s Palace | historic old town
The ancient Roman palace at the heart of Split, with stone streets you can wander for hours. Go early, before it gets busy.

Žnjan City Beach | local beach
A long, relaxed stretch of beach where locals spend their days. It’s an easy way to have a full beach day without the crowds.

Taboo Beach Club | beach club
Great spot if you want a day bed and music. Or just go for lunch to check out the vibes

Unmissable Bar | bar
Vibey cocktail bar and café located in a historic 16th-century palazzo on the main square of Old Town Split

Send this to the person you’re taking to Split 🇭🇷

Located along Split’s Riva and built into the southern wall of Diocletian’s Palace, ZOI combines the city’s ancient history with contemporary Mediterranean dining.

The restaurant is known for its elevated terrace overlooking the harbor, where you can dine above the waterfront while surrounded by the original palace walls.

The menu focuses on modern Mediterranean and Dalmatian cuisine, with seafood, Croatian ingredients, seasonal dishes, and multi-course tasting menus. ZOI currently offers its ECHO seven-course tasting menu as well as TERRA, a seven-course vegetarian menu.

If you’re looking for a more elevated dinner in Split, the terrace at sunset is a particularly memorable way to experience it.

I’ve been to Croatia twice, in 2025 and 2026. 🇭🇷

The first time I went with a friend who’s actually from there, so I got the true local’s view of Split and Hvar, not the tourist version.

Here’s the short version of how I’d send you.

Start and end in Split, the food alone is worth it.

Stay at the Hotel Ambasador or the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa.

@radissonblusplit

Eat at Bokeria, Zoi, and Dvor.

Then ferry to Hvar (Hotel Adriana or Palace Elisabeth) and spend your days island-hopping to Vis and the sea caves.

The water really is some of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean.

That’s the overview. My exact picks, the full island route, where to eat, and how to do it all without the stress, that’s what goes in the guide.

Comment GUIDE and if enough of you want it, I’ll build a full Croatia guide, just like my Cabo one. 🇭🇷

XOXO~

During my trip to Croatia, I was invited by @zoi.split to try their Echo tasting menu with wine pairing.

The restaurant is located inside the walls of Diocletian’s Palace, right in the historic center of Split, with contemporary Mediterranean cooking led by chef Alberto García Pérez @albert_g85.

Seven courses, wine pairing included and the whole dinner lasted almost three hours without me noticing the time pass. The sea urchin and caviar dish was one of the highlights.

ZOI is recommended by the Michelin Guide @michelinguide and is also recognized by Gault&Millau and Falstaff and at the end of the night chef Alberto came over to my table himself.

If you’re heading to Split, this one belongs on the list.
