Day 7/75 Let your inner child play ☀️

Mine picked a dance studio, my girl beside me, and our full Olivia Dean backup dancer fantasy 😉.

No productivity. No goal attached. Just joy, like before we get carried away by life lifing.

Tell me in the comments, how will you let your inner child play? 👀

Ballet, jazz funk & contemporary 🩰🔥

Two years ago I walked into the @niacentre and started from the top series of classes and honestly, it was one of the best things I ever did.

Being in a room full of people who looked like me made such a difference. I didn’t realize how much I needed to see myself represented in that space until I was actually there.

And this dance foundation really stuck with me.

It gave me a stronger foundation to keep training, keep up with company dancers, challenge myself and explore different pathways in dance while continuing to build my technique.

There’s something so beautiful about realizing that I don’t have to choose between the different parts of who I am.

I can hold the technique AND the culture.
The discipline AND the freedom.

And I’m still learning what happens when all of that meets in my body.

Big shoutout to @zojanelle 🫶🏾🔥🔥 for creating this spaces that allow us to explore, train, sweat, laugh, struggle, grow and take up space.

I’m not done.

Still training.
Still dancing.
Still discovering.

And honestly… I’m just getting started.

You’ve grown. You’ve levelled up. And sometimes you need your person to remind you how far you’ve come before you can see it yourself. 🥹✨

That’s what a RISE Date is for.

Tag the bestie you want to have one with; the one who will hype the version of you you’re becoming and hold you accountable for what’s next. 💛

Grateful for my sis @zojanelle 🥰

Last year during @l_d_f_official I met Emily & Olivia at the House of Icon, mainly because I asked to charge my phone. We got chatting at their beautiful @knotel stand and 9 months later we are collaborating at their @old_sessions_house Summer Party with a design I drew inspired by the house. They asked if I would do a live screen print activation on a linen they already had to show their members the detail they go to making their members club so special. 🌱 So here’s Part 1 showing the screen printing set up - stayed tuned for part 2! ✌️

A freestyle song I did called ‘Stay’ (out on all streaming platforms now)

Saw @aliciakharris_ powerful short film ‘On A Sunday At Eleven’ on social media and felt like I had to sing to it. Went straight to YouTube found a random beat & freestyled. The original film sound is muted and my freestyle ‘Stay’ added over the film 🥹

Looking forward to watching the full short film when available in the UK 🤎💐

Also would love to get my voice on some films / TV if anyone can help DM me… manifesting those syncs 🙏🏾

* my freestyle has no affiliation with the short film

💌: Every time I reach for a feeling, I meet myself.

Everything in the ‘other’ is information & data, until it is just a distraction keeping you from yourself.
Only you know the difference. 🦋

This is my love letter to ya 💌

LAYER THESE THREE MOISTURIZERS 🧴AND YOU’LL HAVE THEEE SOFTEST SKIN AND SMELL DIVINEEEEE. 🌸

1. The Righteous Body Butter from @soapandglory
Is one of the few scented moisturizers that doesn’t give me a headache. The scent is subtle but sweet! With ingredients like vitamin E and rosehip oil designed to keep the skin supple, this is a must.

2. After the first layer go in with the @cerave Moisturizing Cream Pot a tried and tested moisturizer cream featuring ingredients Hyaluronic Acid & Ceramides keeping my skin plump and hydrated! 💦

3. Finally, you must SEAL this all in with an emollient, like shea butter!!! I’ve been using @mamaslifeproducts for YEARS. Their products are gently scented and their shea butter is smoothhhh. Lock in all of that moisture allowing it to seep into the skin with some good ole Shea butter.

Pro tip: moisturize your skin while WET for extra hydration! 😉

🎬 Este trecho faz parte do curta‑metragem On a Sunday at Eleven, dirigido por Alicia K. Harris.
