A long sappy love letter to the place where my heart resides:

I’ve been through a lot this past year, more than what I could imagine. I’ve loved and lost, traveled and stayed stagnant. Even had some truly terrifying instances where my health was at risk. And saying this not for pity, but for perspective. I spent some time abroad where life didn’t feel real, and came back to reality, lost yet loved.

Thank you for welcoming me with open arms, for helping me become soft again. For allowing me to be myself, no matter how ridiculous. For the simple days and the eventful ones. As I grow I continue to learn and make mistakes, to always think I’m doing it the “right” way when there’s no such thing. Regardless of the odds I manage to always find a way, and I couldn’t find my way without the people who stick beside me through it all. Because of you I can confidently take on this next step in life. I can say I’ve never felt closer to my true self. I can walk into any room and feel beautiful and powerful. I’ve always had these big feelings that I tried to burry and hide, and now I can let all of that pour through me. I carry you all with me no matter where I am in the world.

I’m forever in debt to San Diego, for connecting me to my heart ₊˚⊹♡
