Even though I understood and lived the realities created by social injustices, I hadn’t connected environmental justice to wildlife conservation until well into my adulthood.

Environmental justice is personal because it’s about the everyday lives and wellbeing of our communities—children, elders, families, everybody. And just as environmental harms have been purposefully and strategically placed, the solutions must be as well.

This includes intention regarding WHO creates and benefits from solutions (from local to national scales), WHERE—literally which neighborhoods—do benefits materialize, and the urgency with which we work.

Thank you to @zoologyrick for having this conversation on the @animalsnatureandyou podcast! Watch it at the link in my bio.

Thank you San Diego! Until next time ☀️

A huge shout out to my friends at the @birchaquarium! I had such an amazing time meeting everyone and seeing all the animals. I can’t wait to edit all the footage. I also want to say that I had an experience that is in my top 5 favorite all time moments I’ve ever had at a zoo/aquarium. It might even be number 1! Thank you 😊.

Thanks to my buddy @zoologyrick for hanging out and always being so cool! Everyone needs to go check out his podcast right meow! @animalsnatureandyou

Thank you @kaitlendaigle for inviting me on your awesome show with @fox5sandiego and @kusinews. Can’t wait to come back and share more stories!

And a huge shout to my friends @okay_ha and Donovan for showing us around the Safari Park. We had so much fun in the hot sun lol.
