📚 10 El Paso-area authors you should read for Hispanic Heritage Month ❤️

As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close, we wanted to celebrate some of the incredible Hispanic and Latino authors who call the Borderland home, grew up here, or have helped shape our literary community.

From El Paso to Ciudad Juárez and beyond, we’re celebrating the writers whose roots, experiences, and work connect them to our Borderland community. We’ve rounded up 10 books by authors with ties to our beautiful corner of the world, spanning everything from children’s literature and YA fiction to memoirs, poetry, history, and philosophy.

Hispanic Heritage Month may be ending, but celebrating and supporting Hispanic voices (especially our local ones!) is something we can do all year long.

Have you read any of these? Who are some of your favorite Borderland authors? 👀
