A lot to be proud about, not all the time always but time is what makes this stuff. More often than not I’d like to try and distinguish that distillation is as big a part of the conservation/preservation process as any traditional food method, all I’m trying to do @cynthianewyork . These are things I think are cool that I can make for you sometimes, depends. I want to feature specifically the Batikh, which is an important drink for me because it’s like a six year evolution of a different drink. We made the watermelon pastis @ntmvsmmxix in 2019 (when the melons were right) and now we make this. We’re blessed with a BOH team that makes tepache from whatever we have have left over and we have had an abundance of good melons. Mixed melon tepache carbonated with a beautiful arak from Lebanon floating on top. Not a demon time but demon time adjacent. Also a plum luck, double plum from @matchbookdistilling 👌🏽🙏🏽✌🏽ty hand model @cylanguage

@satvrnal is here! We're super excited to introduce this lineup from Guadalajara to you guys just in time for what's shaping up to be an epic NY summer.

Founders and childhood friends Jorge & Pedro reconnected by chance some years ago when they each wound up working for the same film festival in GDL. They began brainstorming ideas for distilling their own gins and workshopping recipes through their small pot still (in Pedro's laundry room) and eventually came up with a recipe they liked - Gin No. 4., part of this first drop.

Today as @Satvrnal they are producing some of the most intriguing new spirits in Mexico. Gins that are classic in nature yet fresh and heightened by creative recipes of intentionally sourced herbs, spices, and botanicals. A tropical eau de vie made from local bananas that sips like a sunny day spent in the grass. And in a uniquely Jalisco twist we've got a special batch of gin aged in cask previously used for tequila, thanks to friends @sipdonfulano

This playful twist on a Kir Royale swaps cassis for a concord grape, which is paired with Maleza Licor de Cacahuate, evoking the nostalgic richness of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Suyo Pisco brings a bright, floral backbone, while a bit of Cava lifts the whole cocktail with a crisp, celebratory fizz.
