The best meditation tip I was ever given… Learn to meditate everywhere. It’s going to support you more than only being able to do it in a quiet room with dim lights. For example, say you’re having a chaotic day at work and at lunch you crave some calm and grounding. If you have practiced meditating in different places, you can head to a park, sit on a bench and find a moment of connection and reflection. Three other tips that helped me are: 1. know that it’s hard. People don’t think it will be. It gets easier with practice but you will still have days where it feels easier or harder. 2. there are different types of meditation. Try them out and try different teachers. Find a practice that works for you. For example, a walking meditation can be amazing for those who struggle to sit in quiet. 3. Have an intention and have compassion. An intention can be anything - it’s your WHY. Maybe you want to achieve enlightenment or maybe you are just looking for added mental focus… the why is going to be different for different people but it’s the thing you can keep coming back to as a reminder of why are you doing it. The compassion part is for the times when your mind continually wonders. Be kind to yourself, remind yourself you’re human and remind yourself of your intention as you gently bring yourself back to meditation. #themeditationhabit #meditationtips #meditationhints
11 things 🧘🏻 1. Meditation is not concentration. It’s about deconcentration. The more you let go, the more the mind settles on its own. 2. Stop fighting your thoughts. Thoughts are not the problem. Fighting them is. Welcome all the thoughts! 3. Be comfortable. Meditation is not self torture. A relaxed body helps the mind relax. 4. An empty stomach helps. Your body may feel lighter and more comfortable when you meditate before a heavy meal. 5. For a few minutes, do nothing. No goals. No productivity. No performance. 6. Want nothing. For a few minutes, drop every desire, expectation, and agenda. 7. Don’t chase an experience. You don’t have to feel peaceful, blissful, or different. Let whatever happens happen. 8. Don’t judge your meditation. A session full of thoughts isn’t a failed session. There’s nothing to score. 9. Let your breath be natural. You don’t have to control every breath. Sometimes, simply letting go is enough. 10. Stop checking if it’s working. The moment you keep asking, “Am I meditating yet?” you’re back to doing. 11. Be nobody. Drop your labels. Your name, profession, achievements, failures. Just be. The biggest secret? Meditation begins when effort ends. Click the “link in bio” to start meditating today! If You're a Beginner, Meditation can feel intimating. Here are 4 tips you can follow : 🍂 Start with guided meditation. There are many applications such as Calm, Simple Habits, etc that have really good guided meditation tracks that are easy to follow. 🍂Try Japa Meditation. You can take a beaded mala and take any simple mantra that resonates with you and chant it out loud or within along with the beads. 🍂 Start small. Meaning fix a small duration, something as short as 3-5 mins per day to begin with. It's always easy to build a habit if you don't push yourself to go all out from the beginning. 🍂Don't pressurise yourself to be perfect. Every single person had different experiences. Focus on your Practice rather than comparing it with others. . Hope this helps you♥️ . #mediation , meditation , #meditationtips , yoga teacher , #meditateeveryday , #dailymeditation

Meditation tips for beginners
Okay you guys are not going to believe this story, but here we go... I started meditating everyday 4 years ago. When I first sat down to meditate I was SO uncomfortable. I couldn’t stop fidgeting and wanting to check my phone. My thoughts were SO loud. I was ready to quit right there but something in me knew I had to stick with it. So I did. I started off with guided meditations that were 5-10 minutes long. I pushed through my resistance and focused on my breath. Then about 5 months later, I started to cry every single time I meditated. I felt absolutely delusional because I was over joyed with so much love and gratitude I couldn’t believe it. I would open my eyes from the meditation, look out my window in New Jersey and ball crying because for the first time in my life I felt truly connected to myself. Then fast forward, 1 year later, I cut out alcohol, the most toxic habit I had. Meditation combined with a poison-less body created the biggest transformation in my life. Once I stopped drinking, I started to receive mass downloads and psychic predictions. I had no idea what was going on! Fast forward 2 years later, I went on to strengthen my psychic abilities and unlocked my power as a psychic medium. Now, I’m not saying everyone can be a medium, but if meditating daily could unlock these gifts for me, imagine what it could do for you? 💭 • • • PS: if you want to get consistent with your habits, make sure grab my free habit checklist. It will tell you if your habits are bound to fail or stick. If you can check off all the points you’re in the clear! Just comment a ❤️ and I’ll send you the link. 🔗
You are not your thoughts 💚
Okay, you’re not gonna believe this, but here we go. I started meditating everyday 1 year ago. As I was so desperate for the change in my life, I started doing everything ‘successful people’ were saying: like a vision board, visualization, affirmations stuff. I even wrote my goals 100 times a day for 100 days. I WAS THAT DESPERATE. That was how I started meditating. At first, it was more of a visualization. In the beginning, I was like “Is it the right way I’m doing? Is this visualization they say?” I wasn’t sure but I kept going. Then I started feeling so immersed in it. It was so vivid and I knew it was already there. It’s already done. I GOT THAT when they said it's already yours. When I opened my eyes, it felt SO WEIRD to come back to a different world. And one day, during the meditation, there was a moment I call “awakening moment.” I got connected to myself. Now the meditation was not all about visualizing. It became more of a “BEING” state. I felt a shiver all over my body. Tears were pouring down. And I got to "know" my higher self was guiding me for the best. After that connection, I completely surrendered. I started following the guidance, no matter what it was. I cried every single day and so many times a day, even walking on the street, driving, and working out at the gym. I was overjoyed with so much love and gratitude I’ve never experienced before. I couldn’t say anything but “thank you.” After the connection, I thought I could get the result fast. But it was not the way it was. It was just the beginning of a more profound journey waiting for me. I started feeling energy. I had to painfully embrace all my shadows. I received mass downloads and saw my past lives. And then there was another massive shift.. I say “I was REBORN that day” and today is my REBORN DAY 14. As it's getting long, I should get back with Part 2 and it's related to how and why I started this account. 👉@attractwithsofi Much love and I will get back with Part 2 #instagramgrowth #meditation
