Who else bakes when you’re feeling down/sad/any negative emotion? 🙌🏻 Baking has always been my number one form of self care/therapy - so it’s been a bit more of a struggle lately as I haven’t had a proper kitchen for ages now. My baking equipment has been in boxes for over a year in fact 😳I’ve got the main bits out, but it really stops me properly chilling and being creative in the moment, cause I don’t know where anything is! Soon it’ll be my dream kitchen and I’ll be happily baking away - but at the moment it’s hard cause baking isn’t just my hobby; it’s my therapy, my way to self soothe, my way to decompress and express myself, plus also my job now. I also don’t thrive in chaos, I need order and specific places for things! Of course I feel very lucky overall, and often feel like I shouldn’t complain particularly with everything going on in the world, but it doesn’t make our own difficulties any less valid or important! I love this audio cause I think so many of us relate to baking when not mentally in a good place, so wanted to make my own reel for it 🥰 even though this is old clips of me baking rather than right now, it’s exactly where I want to be right now! Happy mental health baking for those of you baking this week and fighting brain demons! 💖💪 . . . . . #baking #bakinglove #bakingtherapy #ilovebaking #baketherapy #bakingtime #bakingfun #bakersofinstagram #bakersgonnabake #bakerslife #bake #bakebakebake #bakinghappiness #happybaking

Scheduling in joy is one of the top most important things I do for my mental health. Of course it’s not a magic cure all on its own, and honestly sometimes I feel so blah that just putting that candle on feels so insignificant and I feel like it’s all just faff. But it’s a little tiny help in a nice direction. My little bit of joy I’ve scheduled in today, is wearing super comfy pillow cloud sliders at the airport (waiting for gate to open right now) 🥰 and sharing this cute pig meringue piping video with you all! Look at her little tail 🐷🥰 What joy have you scheduled in for today? . . . . #baking #bakingjoy #bakejoy #happybaking #schedulejoy #joy #addjoy #meringuecookies #meringue #cutemeringue #cutecake #bakingvideo #pipingvideo #piping #piping

Comment “challah” and I’ll send you the recipe! Have you ever wondered what it’s like to make bread with 25 kindergarten students? Well, yesterday I got to find out, and it was AWESOME! We started by learning about flour, feeling its texture, and understanding its role in bread making. Next, we talked about gluten and used a fun rubber band analogy to explain how it gives bread its stretchy, chewy texture. Then came the magic ingredient – yeast! The kids were fascinated by how these tiny granules help our bread rise and become fluffy. And finally, we shaped our buns. The kids got creative and had a blast making their unique designs. It was such a fun and educational experience for everyone. We learned, we baked, and most importantly, I got to create a lasting memory with my daughter. #BakingWithKids #BreadMaking #KindergartenFun #Memories #HappyBaking
