💪 Perfect Lateral Raise Form for Bigger Side Delts ✅ . . . Want wider, rounder shoulders? The lateral raise is one of the best exercises for building your side delts, but only if your form is correct. 🎯 Follow these cues: ➡️ Keep your hands slightly in front of your body. ➡️ Maintain a slight bend in your elbows. ➡️ Lean your torso slightly forward. ➡️ Keep your traps locked down (don’t shrug). ➡️ Lift with your elbows, not your hands. ➡️ Control the weight on both the way up and down. ➡️ Focus on feeling the side delts working in every rep. ❌ Avoid these common mistakes: 🚫 Using momentum to swing the weight. 🚫 Shrugging your shoulders. 🚫 Lifting the dumbbells too high. 🚫 Going too heavy and losing form. 🚫 Locking your elbows completely. ✅ Remember: Better technique beats heavier weight. Master your form first, and your side delts will grow more effectively while reducing unnecessary stress on your shoulders. 💬 Which shoulder exercise would you like to see next? #shoulderworkout #lateralraise #shoulderday #workouttips #pushday

PERFORM LATERAL RAISES LIKE THIS ☑️ Building big delts comes down to performing lateral raises correctly When you enter the gym tomorrow, watch the next person performing lateral raises They’re most likely performing what I call a Y-Raise for the front delt, not a lateral raises for the side delt. 3 things to improve to improve your shoulders: 1️⃣ Push DOWN before taking the dumbbells out to the sides 2️⃣ Think about punching the side walls when you perform the lateral raise 3️⃣ Keep your chest up every rep, dropping your chest will incorporate to much front delt Save this, apply it to your next shoulder workout and watch the difference 😉 #trainingtips #training #gymtips #shoulders #delts #lateralraise
Dumbbell Lateral Raise vs Cable Lateral Raise 💪 They both have pros and cons. What about you, which one do you prefer? 👇 #lateralraise #delts #shoulderexercise #gymworkout #gymaholic
You’re doing the LATERAL RAISE wrong… The lateral raise is my favourite shoulder isolation exercise! And honestly, when I go to the gym, I see a whole mixture of bad techniques… 💪First of all, keep your elbows bent just a little. 💪And think about lifting the elbows up high. 💪And your little finger needs to be higher than your thumb. Rather than lifting your hands outwards. 💪You don’t need to go much higher than shoulder height. 💪But make sure you really squeeze at the top, and control down rather than falling down. 💪Most people need to reduce the weight and improve their technique with this one. So go work those shoulders, and I’ll see you tomorrow! Side delts are getting all the attention. 🎯 #3DShoulders #SideDelts #ShoulderWorkout #LateralRaise #CableLateralRaise
Most people do lateral raises standing up with too much weight and too much momentum. CBum does them chest supported. One position change that removes everything that does not belong in a lateral raise — the body swing, the trap involvement, the momentum that lets the side delt avoid doing any real work — and leaves only what matters. pure mid delt tension through a controlled range of motion. Here is why chest supported changes everything. When you stand during a lateral raise your body naturally compensates as fatigue sets in. a slight forward lean. a small hip drive. a shrug at the top. each compensation reduces the tension on the mid delt and distributes it across muscles that were never supposed to be involved. by the end of a standing lateral raise set most people have done half a lateral raise and half a full body swing. The chest supported position eliminates all of it. the torso is fixed. the only thing that can move is the arm. the mid delt has nowhere to hide and no assistance from anything else. every rep is a lateral raise. not a negotiation between the delt and whatever other muscle wants to help. CBum says it directly. when stability increases stimulus increases. The weight drops. the stimulus rises. the side delt grows. The capped shoulder look — the round three-dimensional delt that creates the wide frame CBum is known for — is built by the mid delt. not the front delt that pressing movements already train heavily. not the rear delt that rows partially cover. the mid delt. trained directly. with tension not momentum. Save this. try chest supported lateral raises on your next shoulder session. Less noise. more results. Clip: @cbum #shoulders #lateralraise #cbum #musclebuilding #minimalfitx
Are you doing lateral raises every session but still not building width on your shoulders? Most people treat side laterals like a simple up-and-down movement. The weight goes up, comes down, tension releases, repeat. That's exactly why the medial delt never fully develops. Victor Martinez keeps the dumbbells right to his side at the start, elbows slightly bent throughout the entire rep. He lifts with the elbows leading at the top, not the hands. Chest stays up. And at the bottom he never releases the tension, constant pressure, no rest between reps. The Form: Dumbbells stay to your side, not in front of your body Elbows slightly bent, never fully straight, never deeply bent Lead the raise with your elbows, not your wrists or hands At the top, elbows are the highest point At the bottom, keep constant tension, don't let the weight rest That constant pressure is what keeps the medial deltoid loaded through the full set. The moment you release at the bottom, you're giving the muscle a rest it doesn't need. Do you feel your medial delts working or is it mostly traps? 👇 #fitness #bodybuilding #hypertrophy #shoulderworkout #lateralraise
