Proof that looking fine and feeling fine are two very different things #multiplesclerosis #livingwithms #invisibleillness #chronicillness #mscommunity
Wednesday Waffling about invisible disability. Just because you can't see someone's disability it doesn't mean it's not there. Living with MS means constant pain, numbness and brain fog but just because I deal with these and other symptoms on a daily basis it doesn't mean I can't enjoy dressing up, going out and enjoying life. #wednesdaywaffles #livingwithms #invisabledisability #chronicillness
Neuroplasticity is one of the reasons I stay hopeful with MS. 🧠✨ Our brains are constantly adapting, creating new pathways, and finding ways to work around damage. While MS can affect the nervous system, the brain still has an incredible ability to learn, strengthen connections, and adjust over time. That’s why movement, rest, nutrition, stress management, learning new things, and consistency matter so much to me. Not because I’m trying to “fix” myself — but because I’m supporting my brain in doing what it was designed to do: adapt. Healing doesn’t always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like small daily choices repeated over and over again. 🤍#ms #livingwithms #multiplesclerosis #positivevibes #msmom
Some people will never know how much effort it took for you to look “fine” today. You smiled. You answered people. You got things done. You showed up. Maybe you even trained, worked, went out or looked completely normal. And nobody knew how much you were fighting inside your own body. Then you finally get home. The door closes. Nobody needs anything from you. And suddenly the version of you that held it together all day doesn’t have to anymore. I’ve had days living with MS where I’ve looked completely fine from the outside while knowing how much effort it took just to keep going. That’s something invisible illness has taught me. Someone functioning doesn’t always mean they’re okay. Sometimes they’re just incredibly good at holding themselves together until they finally reach somewhere safe enough to fall apart. So if you cried today after spending the whole day pretending you were okay… I hope you know that doesn’t make you weak. Maybe you were just carrying too much for too long. 🤍 SAVE this for the days nobody sees how hard you’re trying. SHARE it with someone who needs to hear “I see you.” And FOLLOW @ChronicFitJourney if you’re tired of feeling like you’re the only one going through the parts nobody sees. #MultipleSclerosis #LivingWithMS #ChronicIllness #InvisibleIllness #MSCommunity

We’re girls with MS: of course we cancel plans because our nervous system decided to hit 'update and restart' without asking. Feel like you can relate? Share this post to raise awareness. Living with MS is so much more than the moments people see. Most days I’m dealing with some combination of body pain, exhaustion, migraines or headaches, nausea, vision problems, vertigo, brain fog…and just the constant feeling of never really feeling “normal.” But I still get dressed. I still show up for my kids. I still make plans, smile, laugh, film content, and try to live my life as normally as I can. That’s the part people don’t always understand. Looking okay doesn’t mean I feel okay. A good day doesn’t mean I’m not struggling. And sometimes the hardest part is feeling like you have to prove you’re sick enough for people to believe you. MS has taught me how much someone can be carrying while still looking completely fine on the outside. 🤍 Some days I’m not feeling better, I’m just better at hiding how bad I feel. #MultipleSclerosis #LivingWithMS #InvisibleIllness #ChronicIllness #MSAwareness

Muscle tightness, cramping and involuntary movements can affect people with multiple sclerosis in different ways. Toe curling is one of the specific experiences I’ve talked about, and it reminds me how something small can affect everyday movement. I share MS muscle symptoms, toe curling, walking difficulties and living with multiple sclerosis. #MSSymptoms #MultipleSclerosis #MuscleSpasms #WalkingWithMS #LivingWithMS
