Really getting into the ‘I could go at this speed forever’ pace, it’s not fast but it is fun, and there’s a bit more time to look at the view.

Getting up and being able to do it all over again the next day is also a bonus!

🔥 Apparently @luneburgtrail has decided that trail running wasn’t hard enough on its own… so they’ve added some heat. 😂☀️

Luckily, one very important thing is sorted — hydration! 💦

A massive THANK YOU to @tailwindnutritionsa for keeping us hydrated and for making sure there’s plenty of Rapid Hydration on its way for the weekend. 🍋🙌 Your support makes these slightly questionable running decisions a whole lot easier! 😅

Hot trails. Plenty of hydration. Questionable life choices.
Sounds like a good weekend to me. 🤷‍♂️😂

See you at Lüneburg! 🏃‍♂️⛰️

Felt like it took every last bit I had… safe to say it looked that way too 😂

Sub-24 and 🥇was the dream, and I still can’t quite believe we pulled it off.

And I say “we” very deliberately. @coetzeeeduan was there at every single aid station, all the way through to the finish, keeping me moving when I needed it most. This one would not have happened without you. ❤️ taken in Karkloof Country Club by @tailwindnutritionsa

And that’s a wrap, first @utct miler block weekend done ✅

What an epic weekend of forest, mountain & beach and ALL the weather from misty and rainy on Friday, to windy Saturday to windless and HOT today. Feeling grateful that my body has responded well to the higher volume, and it’s been a lovely weekend!

This is my third 100km+ week, the plan is to ease off for a couple of weeks before ramping up for a final push before the taper. In good hands with @lindadoke as we build up the blocks to bring the dream closer!

Friday: 18km, 800m vert Newlands/Contour/Kirstenbosch
Saturday: 45km, 1300m vert, Kalk Bay to Nordhoek on the miler route
Sunday: 25km, 1300m vert, Nordhoek to Alphen, also on the route.

Thanks @viv_ontherocks Mikey and @nas36o for being such fun company on the runs! The joy really is in the process.

KARKLOOF 30-MILER ⛰️🌲

That was a proper day out. 😅

I knew going in that the training hadn’t quite been where it needed to be. Turns out knowing that doesn’t make @karklooftrailrun 30 miles any easier. 😂

It was tough, but I pushed through — partly determination, partly to save whatever ego and pride I had left!

A few days later, the suffering has conveniently faded and I can appreciate what an incredible route Karkloof really is. Beautiful trails, forests and some amazing scenery.

Next time I’ll arrive better trained so I can enjoy a little more of the scenery… and spend a little less time negotiating with myself. 😂

Hard day. Beautiful place. Finish earned. 👊

It’s the final showdown for @joshp_mtb_

Josh is among hundreds of students that have descended on Coetzenburg, Stellenbosch for the Schools MTB Series National Finals. The week long celebration is concluding with the high school categories on Friday at 14:00 and the Inter-Provincial competition on Saturday at 13:30.

Being a Matriculant @ashtoncollegeballito , this will be Josh’s last school series race of his career where he is looking to end on a high - trying to repeat last year where he won the Schools race and KZN looked to have brought a strong team to contend the Provincial race.
